This is my third product from Mobvoi and I have been extremely satisfied with the functionality and value of their products. My first purchase was the original TicPods which I continue to use on a daily basis. I followed that purchase up with the original TicWatch Pro - which I primarily use when working out. After a month of trying out the TicPods ANC, I literally have no complaints. This is a huge upgrade over my original TicPods. The only issue, which may take more time to get used to because they are ANCs, is how snug they fit in my ear. That said, they don’t irritate my ears, even with extended use. Unboxing the product was straightforward and I was impressed by the details of the packaging as well as the sleekness of the charging case. The product was easy to pair, though not intuitive, but the instructions were easy to understand. I charged my product for the first time after 4 days of use - averaging about 3 hours per day. Mind you, this was straight out of the box, so the battery capacity itself is pretty remarkable. Though I primarily used this for conference calls (the age that we live in), the few times that I listened to music allowed me to test the ANC features. I generally listen to hip-hop, jazz, and the occasional K-Pop, all at a fairly high volume. The TicPod ANCs were better at isolating the noise compared to my original TicPods, so I didn’t have to have the volume as high, but I never really had issues about outside noise coming in with my original pair. I think the true test would be on a plane which I don’t plan on being on for quite a bit of time. That is where the original TicPods didn’t perform as well which is the primary reason I bought over the ear ANC headphones. I typically take 6-8 work trips during the year that requires air travel so I may have to revisit testing these in the spring if my work permits me to travel again. The one thing that I miss about these particular earphones, compared to my originals, is the ability to control the volume by sliding my finger along the stem. At first, I thought the sensitivity was not high, but after reading through the directions again I realized this is not a feature of the ANCs. This is not a huge complaint, but I like to move around without my phone and often have to control the volume since I have two young children who seek my attention. However, letting in outside noise with noise passthrough mode enabled does make a difference - I guess these really are ANC! There were times where I had one bud in and the BT connection dropped. This usually happened after more than an hour of use so no biggie - this same issue would occur from time to time on my original TicPods, but it’s not that big of a problem to me. Overall, I would highly recommend this product - the quality of these earphones are equal to the more established brands out there with all the bells and whistles of a product you’d expect to pay more than $100+ for. ... show more

    • Great Earbuds- quality sound and active noise cancelling
I had an earlier set of TicPod earbuds that I really liked but my Pitbull Puppy decided that they made a nice chewtoy for him (and yes, he did swallow one). So, when the opportunity came to buy the TicPod ANC earbuds, I took advantage of the opportunity (and the discount offered by a coupon). In addition to the manuals and some stickers, the TicPod ANC box contained the charging system (which houses the earbuds), a spare set of soft, silicone covers (presumably to replace ones that go missing or where a different size is needed), and a USB-A/USB-C charging cable. The earbuds came partially charged in the box and I charged them up using the enclosed cable. Of course, I have lots of USB-C cables I could also use. The charging case charged quickly and easily. I don't see any information that indicates the case can charge using Qi (wireless charging). Personally, I'm fine with that as I find the Qi charging to be slower and I want to have the charging case full of power to get the advertised 20 hours of charge time. The earbuds paired easily to my Samsung Galaxy Note20. In fact, as you may see from the video I posted, the earbuds started to try to pair up as soon as I removed them from their charging station (they may have started sooner but I saw the flashing lights when I removed them). The pairing went flawlessly-- I just had to indicate on my phone that I wished to pair them. I've turned off and restarted the phone & had the earbuds in and out of the charging station several times and they consistently reconnect flawlessly. Sound quality is GREAT! I listened to some classical music where I got to hear the depth of sound I'd come to expect from much more expensive Noise Cancelling Headphones. I also listened to some jazz and some more contemporary music. The sound quality was equally impressive in each mode of music. The earbuds were comfortable and changing from track to track (forward and backward) worked easily. You can wear a single earbud (and share the second) as the controls are duplicated in both but I like the quality of stereo sound produced. There is no volume control on the earbuds which some folks may look for. I find it more sensible to control volume from my phone rather than trying to increase/decrease volume while not changing tracks (a problem I've had with other earbuds). By coincidence, my phone rang while I was wearing the earbuds and answering it was a breeze. Sound quality of the call was good both from my side and that of my caller. I haven't worn the earbuds long enough to test the battery life nor have I worn them while sweating to test their waterproofing. But I'm certain I won't be disappointed with either as my earlier TicPods worked as advertised. I'll update this review if I find out something different. Overall, these earbuds are well worth the price. Comfortable to wear, superior sound quality, and apparently reliable. I'll be buying another pair soon to give as a gift.
