Overall, this is a casual short sleeve "cardigan." I would not classify it as dressy as advertised, which is the reason I am taking off one star. I was hoping it would be like your typical blazer material and therefore be more dressy, but its just a thin, stretchy almost cotton-like material. Like a t-shirt type material. So it is certainly more casual than dressy. In terms of the style, it does look like the product photos. In terms of size, I would say order your standard size or size up one. I typically wear a size 2X or 3X in women's shirts, but ordered a 4X in this because I find online clothing tends to run smaller than department store clothing and I would rather have an overshirt like this be too big rather than too small.
