  • The instruction page needs to be larger 8 1/2" x 11", not 5" X 7"
I would have liked, three different sizes of wire binding material, along with color binders.

  • This is a great machine. Too bad it isn't more compatible.
Just got this machine in today. Never had a wire coil binding machine before. I'm tired of using pre-made planners and being inconvenienced to use office supply stores to bind custom documents. This machine seems reasonably intuitive to use and follow some simple directions as other reviewers have noticed. And as the other reviewer noticed, the 3mm setting on the left seems to be best for the size of coil spines included. My only issue is that this machine punches 34 holes. Anticipating that the included 3/8" coils would be on the small side, I ordered some 1/2" coils believing that they ought to be compatible. However, those coil spines are for 32 holes, not 34. It seems that most coil spines to be purchased are for 32 holes, not 34. There's a couple here on Amazon, but not many This is the primary reason I'm rating it 4-stars. However, I have returned it because it can be far more difficult (and therefore more expensive) to find more compatible wire spines for this machine. I now know that 32 holes seems to be the standard and now I know what to look for. This is a great machine. Too bad it isn't more compatible. ... show more

  • Mal Funcionamiento,
The media could not be loaded. El equipo no funciona como debería, vino con defecto, no perfora bien las páginas, las del medio las deja sin perforar, es un fiasco. No me gustó para nada

  • No clear instructions
Wanted to really love this binding machine but it's just okay. It does what it is suppose to but with some challenges because there are no clear instructions. If you have never used one before, figuring out how to lay out the binding strip before binding can be tricky. I had to do several test runs before I finally got it to bind correctly. Once you hook the paper in, you have to rotate the spine so the edge of the opening faces inward. Then you press down. Making sure the current measurement is selected is also key. One thing I did like was that this binding machine came with its own spines to start but it is made for A4 size papers. It says "letter size, A4, A5 or smaller" which I guess is true but this means you have to cut/trip the wire. I just wanted it to fit for regular paper size. When punching the holes, it is a little hard to push down. Making a few isn't a problem but if you are trying to make quite a few, it will take a lot of work. ... show more

  • Heavy, very sturdy
I have never used a binding machine before. Usually take it to an office store and pay them to do the work. I decided to give this a try. For beginners, the instructions are not great. I knew right away there might be problems because the folded over instruction sheet had been printed backwards. Claims up to 12 pages of 80gm paper can be punched at one time. Maybe if you are Hercules. I tried 12 pages of copy paper to test this out. I did it but it was extremely hard and my paper was only 75gm weight. Also, this took two hands, not just one on the center grip. This makes having a center grip kind of useless. Either the grip should run the length of the handle or have two evenly spaced. The video on the seller’s page indicates the handle has to be attached after arrival. Actually, mine came already attached which was great. The only piece that needs to be attached is the little wire that supports the paper while squeezing the binding. There are two holes in the top that you just slide the metal ends into. Super simple. Arrives with a perforated cardboard sheet to punch and remove excess lubricant so you don’t stain your paper. Don’t waste the opportunity to play with the settings while also removing the grease. Fold cardboard back and forth along perforation after each practice punch to remove the used strip. Waste container holds plenty of punched pieces. Easy to slide out without spilling. This device is solid and should last for many years without problems. Great for offices, teachers, diy crafts. People with OCD could spend hours organizing documents. Four stars because instructions could have been a lot better. I would have liked to see a suggestion sheet as well. This could give advice on margins and when to use different settings. ... show more

  • Binding Machine
I have used a binding machine many times, and this one is mediocre compared to a heavy duty machine, however, for the inexpensive price, it gets the job done. The directions were very difficult to follow, but since I have had experience with binding machines, I was able to figure it out. The bar to punch the papers is difficult to push, you have to push down hard with both hands. There are no clear cut directions as to where you should put all the settings based the paper size. The waste container that collects all the punched holes very easily can be removed, emptied and reinserted into the machine. I had the most difficulty binding the papers together with the metal binding. It would not close all the way for me when I pressed it into the top of the binding portion. I am sure with more practice, my skills will improve. Overall, the machine is heavy, durable, and seems like it will be long lasting. ... show more

  • Heavy and sturdy!
If you are in to making book and things this, it is for you. I am into finding things that the kids will enjoy with supervision of course. I believe this was one of the best things the kids did on spring break. I put together a few coloring pages and blank paper. The kids wanted to punch their own holes in paper. Share that it can get a bit rough for them, but the punching was tight, and the kids used everything in them to get it down. This is worth the money you would be getting back faster than you think. ... show more
