Unit worked fine for a few months, then quit. Restarted it but temp only heats water to luke warm. Tried to contact customer service with no luck. Would not deal with them again. This was my first response, since then we have been able to work out our communication problems and they have been most helpful and have acknowledged a defective part in the unit. I was looking for a small compact water heater for a hand washing sink, then this "beauty" popped up. I was ecstatic as this was perfect. Size, price, ease of connections. What could go wrong right? two weeks after installing the unit i noticed the unit had a small puddle underneath of it, in my vanity. The leak appeared to have been there for a little bit as the bottom shelf of my vanity was all bubbled up. I looked over all my connections to see if i could find where the water was coming from. Nothing. So i took the front cover off and discovered a small leak coming from the octagon in the center of the unit. (See picture). I contacted the company and they were fast on responding and replaced the unit in its entirety. I received the replacement unit and quickly got it installed. (the mounting bracket broke trying to get the old unit off. The mounting bracket is made of plastic and very cheap). I replaced the unit and turned the water back on. Everything looked good and after 10 mins, i noticed the unit was leaking in the same spot as the old one. I don't know if this is poor craftsmanship or luck of the draw. If looking for a small water heater i would look other places. This unit ruined my brand new vanity and i am still without hot water. not worth the $100 i spent on it. ... show more

Definitely will make your water warm, good for washing hands. My experience with this unit is that it will not make water hot, but it'll make the tap water comfortably warm. I have it hooked up to a outdoors sink in a Greenhouse for general purpose use.

These heaters were a total bust. I bought 2. I put one under the kitchen sink the other under the bathroom sink. After the kitchen was installed I thought I must have broken it because the water came out a little warmer than the cold side but not much warmer. So, I was very careful when putting in the second one. Same, water slightly warmer than the cold water side. Installation was a nightmare. They are poorly engineered for the American market (our hot water is on the left hand side). The outlets are so close together that you can't put valves in the line without putting in right angles. I have always needed an additional water heater for the sink in my bathroom that is a whole house away from the main water heater for the house. Running water for almost 3-4 minutes just to wash your face with warm water in the winter is a pain and a luxury that most of us avoid. I had a 2gal tank -under the sink- water heater in my art classroom at school that was wonderful! So I investigated that idea for my home space. After comparing all of the options, (Thank you Amazon for your great return policy!) I chose this particular model and size. Wow! What a difference in time, water waste and -I am sure -eventually $. It provides hot water right away and space-wise you can barely tell it is under the sink!. This is the way to go for anything I need like this again in the future-for sure! The water can be warm to very hot-so there doesn't seem to be a problem with the temperature - and it is endless-As long as I run it-it will not run out-I guess I could put this on the shower too-( I am not sure to what extent you can split the water flow without compromising the little device--There were larger ones for more water flow-) I did have to get an electrician to install it-but after that, it was a simple hook up. I bought two-but decided I didn't need two. The customer service people were prompt, friendly and generous- especially when I decided I actually would use the 2nd one the day after I sent the other one back! Update: After less than 3 years this has started leaking, which puts us outside warranty period. It worked great for us until then, but at this point we will be looking for a different product with a longer lifespan. This unit works great and could not be easier to fit under your sink due to its tiny size. It requires at 220v outlet but that power gets it hot fast! Within seconds the water is up to temperature. It really is an excellent solution in a great package. My only minor comment is that learning to adjust the temperature is not intuitive at first. Once you learn it is a breeze though. I replaced an older point of use water heater that leaked. This was very easy to install and works well. The water is not as hot as the old heater but warm enough to make hand washing pleasant. It is connected to the hot water line from the main water heater in my home so if really hot water is needed, a couple of minutes of running water and temperature is hotter than needed.
