  • Don't buy, won't work unless...
Color: Black Size: 140mm Style: Single Pack
Unless you have already purchased a 3 pack (that costs $125) then you don't have the appropriate controller to plug this into. Thermaltake doesn't make available, sell, or have any means of you obtaining a controller that will be compatible with a single quad fan. You cannot plug a quad into a dual or trio (but you can do the reverse). ITs total madness. They want me locked into their proprietary ecosystem, charge super high prices for their products, then want to extort me to buy a three pack (spend another $100) just to get the controller, and have two fans just sitting in a drawer. This company must be delusional. Also, I've had nothing but issues with their buggy ARGB software. Zero documentation or support. Worst decision I've made in all my builds was going with their fans that only worth with their controllers and software. If it wasn't such a meticulous build, I'd suck it up and gut the whole build just to replace their fans and AIO. Might still do it after I catch my breath in a couple months. ... show more

  • Will likely have issues with AMD chipset motherboards
Color: Black Size: 120mm Style: Triple Pack
The fans are AWESOME! Very bright and customizable and keep case cool enough. The only issue I’ve ran into is the fan software has compatibility issues with AMD x570 motherboard chipsets (I have a x570 Aorus Master). Basically sometimes when you restart your computer (I’d say half the time for me), the RGB Software from TT will not load and gives a fan error message (“Fan Controller not Found 0001” or something like that), so all you get is spinning RGB rainbow vomit as the default that you cannot change bc of the error message. No amount of updating/reinstalling software or re-checking all the connections works for me in this scenario. The ONLY thing that works is unplugging the fan controller at the USB header on the motherboard and plugging back in (When the PC is running) and VOILA the error message goes away and it magically starts working normal again. There has been one case where even that didn’t work so I did a hard shutdown and tried again. So it’s a total PIA to have to keep taking your side panel off every time you want to restart your pc, but the fans are so awesome when they work I guess it’s something I’m willing to deal with. Even awesome enough to keep 4 stars. After reading online, it does not appear to be an issue with Intel chipsets. After paying the premium Thermaltake charges for these things, I expected them to not give issues, at least this soon. If I had to go back and do it over again, knowing what I know now, I would have went with Corsair. ... show more

  • Fans lights are nice, software is Garbage.
Color: Black Size: 120mm Style: Triple Pack
Rating this fans with 2 stars only because they look really nice, as you can see on my picture I got 14 of them for my setup, bad idea although they look really pretty they stuck on that lighting forever. Why? you may ask, well the software TT RGB Plus is extracted from windows 3.11 or so, terrible ugly interface, some of the controllers are not detected (sometimes only 1 is detected, other times 2 of them and very unlikely all of them are detected), at the beginning I thought something could be not connected properly after double and triple check I realize the problem is the software, now everytime I reboot my computer I need to open the app and turn on some fans manually basically because my profile is not saved and the light effects are reset to the default values after every restart, software doesn't allow to control the speed based on a custom signal (GPU, CPU, or any other) the only thing they have is a preset for silent, pmw or performance. Look in forums there are a ton of complains on this, and seems thermal take is deaf or simply they don't care. I'm returning these fans and going for the Corsair, they may not look as beautiful as these, but the software is really advanced and provide a lot of options with a very good experience, stay away from TT! I'm happy to provide more details if needed. ... show more

  • Love the hardware, not the software
Color: Black Size: 120mm Style: Triple Pack
The fact that these things have 4 zones of light per fan is nuts, there's so many possibilities with these. I've been syncing them with Razer Synapse 3 though, so I can't really take advantage of the different lighting zones at all. They have software for designing animation effects works, but it's extremely laborious and time consuming to make the animations, they could've designed that MUCH better. The RGB software used to control these looks terrible, and every time it boots I need to give it permission to run and then enable syncing with Synapse. Also, about 50% of the time I boot my PC up, I'll open the thermaltake lighting software, and it will say that it can't find the lighting controller. Every time my PC wakes up from a sleep, the TT software malfunctions, will only show a black box, and persists even after I end the app via the task manager. I talked with some technicians from TT about all this, they were pretty rude and didn't end up helping at all. I love the hardware, but they really need to improve the software to allow these to reach their full potential. Originally my review was 4 stars, but I've been living with these for awhile now, and they've been very frustrating, so I knocked it down to 2. I often have to reboot just to try to get them to function right. Kinda wish I would've gone with Corsair, they look more reliable. ... show more
