Description

Thermaltake Riing 12 RGB LED 120mm Adjustable Color Case Radiator Fan -Single Pack CL-F042-PL12SW-A Riing 12 LED RGB 256 Colors High Static Pressure Radiator Fan The latest Riing RGB Series fan introduced by Thermaltake is a patented circular 256 multi-colored 120mm radiator fan which is fitted with blades optimized to enhance static pressure for impressive cooling performance. and the anti-vibration mounting system strengthens the product`s stability during operation. The color and brightness uniformity of the multicolored LED ring is visible from all directions and adds style to the chassis. Smart Fan Controller A self-contained fan controller can switch between 5 LED modes including solid colors of red, blue, white, green or disable and cycle through 256 colors. Play/Pause functions allow users to cycle colors (color remains unchanged until click Play/Pause button again) with speed control options reduce noise even more all from your fingertips. Concentrated Compression Blade Custom designed for high static pressure requirements of demanding applications such as radiators, the concentrated compression blade is engineered to focus the weaker, inner circle of air outward, allowing the outer section to pressurize the air. Hydraulic Bearing with Low-Noise Design The hydraulic bearing self-lubricates with a high quality, friction-reducing substance which lowers operating noise and improves efficiency. The seal cap prevents leakage of the lubricant, and improves the lifespan of the unit. By clicking the “SPEED” button on fan controller, the noise level can be reduced to 29%. Wind Blocker Frame To achieve maximum static pressure in all applications, the wind blocker frame is designed to work with the Concentrated Compression Blade`s (CCB) pressure mechanism by directing airflow towards the middle section of the blade, thereby creating a compression effect and blocking any pressure from escaping. This reduces the blade`s noise and vibration, creating a perfect balance between power and sound. Anti-Vibration Mounting System In-mold injection anti-vibration rubber pads provide hassle-free usage for 80% protection coverage, including all four corners.Specifications: P/N: CL-F042-PL12SW-AFan Dimensions: 120 x 120 x 25 mmStarted Voltage: 9.0 VRated Voltage: 12 VRated Current: 0.21 APower Input: 2.52 WFan Speeds: Speed Mode 1: (800 ~ 1500 RPM) Speed Mode 2: (400 ~ 1000 RPM)Max. • Still working great years later
I installed two of these in my PC, and years later they’re still working like new. Easy to install the fans, but I had to use some adhesive velcro to hide the controllers away in my case. Quiet even when running on high.

  • Don't Buy for the Lights. Buy Because They're Quiet.
I would give 5 stars if there was more control of the coloring, and they were brighter. In all honesty, the only reason I don't give them 5 is because they are marketed more as a lighting option than a sound control option. These are very quiet, and after 7 months of use, continue to keep my machine running at near-silent levels. I only even notice the fan-sound when everything else in the room is off, and that is rare. Even then, it is not annoying. Even if you do not have a need for the lights, I still recommend buying them if you want a quieter system. Since they are marketed as a lighting option, I have to withhold a star, because the picture implies that you can have more than one color at a time. You cannot. It is one solid color for the ring. I wouldn't consider it lying, but I do consider it to be misleading. Pros: - Quiet performance, without being ugly (Noctua) - Lighting rings are fairly bright, and do help highlight the build Cons: - Lighting doesn't have a very good control method - Can not have multiple colors active at one time, like the picture implies ... show more

  • Highly Recommend
I am really impressed with these fans. They have great Static Pressure and good air flow. They are fairly quiet even at max speed. With the RGB LED's you can match almost any color scheme. They do have a draw back though. They use a 5 pin connector. The 5th pin controls the RGB leds and there is no way to get any light if you connect directly to the motherboard. The fan will spin, but wont light up so you must use the included controller. Other than having to use the controller, I can find anything wrong with this fan. Hooked it up to a CPU heat sink and temps dropped about 5 degrees C Plan on adding another for push/pull config. This fan will work great for heat sinks and radiators and with the decent airflow I imagine it would also work well as a case fan but I have not used it as such. ... show more

  • Cool
The functionality is perfect. The color of the RGB is very nice and clean looking. I bought 4 of these and only one of them the controller was not working properly. Maximus IX Hero MB did not register the controller as working but the fans did get power. So I had 2 more controller and now the MB sees the fans as functioning once I replace the bad controller. Someday I might spring for a 4 port controller, as of now I have 2 fans on one controller and 2 fans on another controller. ... show more

  • Not a very good fan. LEDs turn themselves off
I got the Riing 12 and 14 for exhaust fans in my PC. Initial install I loved them.. then my computer fell asleep. When I woke it up, the LEDs did not turn back on. I had to take the side panel off the PC and press mode to get them to turn back on. While the panel was off I messed with the fans speed as well and it seemed it only worked on the higher setting but it seemed to be moving at the lower speed. When I turned it to the slower setting the fans would turn off. I left them on the high setting and closed up the PC. I then put it to sleep again and the same thing happened when it woke back up, the LEDs were off.. I opened it up again and turned them back on, closed up the case and did a restart. Same thing happened again. I then switched the controller to use the one that came with the other fan.. same issue. This appears to be a common issue with these fans. Would not recommend these. I've heard the premium edition fixed this bug with software you can now access to control them. They are a step up in price though. ... show more

  • Great product.
I have these fans in several of my PC's and I have had no issues. I love that they all plug into the controller and the controller goes right into the fan header on the mobo. I prefer it to having extra Molex or SATA connections and then plugging several connections into different headers. Yes, you have to use the controller but it's easy to remove a panel and I can still control speeds through my bios. ... show more

  • Sweet led fan
To start off, these fans work great. Currently they are setup with the EVGA Hadron Air case. What I really like is how quiet these things run, but at the push of a button, they can definitely speed up and push some hot air out through the top. Pros: -Looks awesome -Adjustable Speed, w/ controller and through motherboard speed control -Silent Cons: -Controller will have to be routed somewhere in order to access -No software integration and control, would really like to see something like NZXT Cam integration to sync with my HUE+ led strips ... show more

  • Great fan, plan ahead where to mount the controller
Fan works great and I like the lighting control options, but mounting options were limited for the control box since I wanted it outside of the case and the included velcro did not want to hold to the meshed metal of my back panel. I ended up securing the control unit with black Sugru and that worked great. ... show more
