I was weary not seeing any reviews but I'm glad I took the risk. Screen is huge in comparison to others, great for my aging eyes. The light is blindingly bright. Battery drain seems minimal. From others I'm seen, resolution is good. Overlay has 4 levels of adjustment. 4 color palettes. F and C seem accurate. Minimal lag. Seems sturdy. Saved image to sd card. Comes with a nice cloth case. My place is INCREDIBLY drafty, and I can't really figure out why. Standing by my 6 huge windows, taped up for winter very well, you can feel a literal draft coming from under them. Like...through the wall somehow. No air coming from the windows themselves, no gaps in the plastic. no holes in the hardwood floors or gaps in the trim, nothing. Just...somehow a draft coming THROUGH the wall. I am trying to use this to help figure out how/why. So far it hasn't done me much good, I think the wall just gets so cold compared to the internal temperature that it created like a sort of convectionary effect. This has more or less confirmed that ha. Just sees a solid block of coldness at the walls. I could have done with less resolution and been fine, since...a wall of cold could have been seen with a 1x1 imager..but this will still be handy in case I determine the issue is something else and need to actually nail down specifics on where the cold is coming from. I also sometimes have a strange issue where a small section of the floor in my kitchen will get REALLY cold and I am not sure why. I might be able to use this to track it down, in case it is like a leak from the fridge or something. Hasn't happened again in a while so haven't been able to test that theory yet. But if I do, this works well, simple to use, the "high" resolution is nice to have even when not needed, and it seems to be more usable than one of the ones you just plug into your phone. ... show more

Read the manual, set it up and it worked well, until I get a double circle with the word LOW in the middle of the screen. Nothing in the manual about it and attempts to contact company proved to be futile.

It is well made, sturdy, lightweight and the user interface is very intuitive to navigate. The Mileseey model TR256 seens to be very accurate. I compared this device IR imager temperature measures with my old thermal imaging camera UTI120S and with some trusted precision thermometer and the temperature readings were almost the same, no complaints about measure accuracy. The Integrated flashlight is very bright and useful in dark conditions and the display is easy to read and has a good definition. The only concern I have is the battery, looks like it is not replaceable. A high quality instrument like this should be able to replace the battery when it gets bad in the future. I started having problems with an electronic device I purchased recently, and I wanted to pinpoint the source of heat that likely was causing the malfunction. Started researching for the best budget IR camera, and I decided to give the Mileseey camera a try and didn't disappoint. It comes packed with features that are usually found on other brands more expensive models, giving you a great value for your money. Some of the features are: -2 intensity levels working flashlight -3 1/2 inch clear LCD display -Handheld design that makes the job super easy -Leather strap and carrying case -a 32gb SD card came included with my camera -The sensor it's at least twice the resolution of the Flir ones, at 256 x 192 pixels -Can be used on wet environments (rain) but not submerged -Battery life it's really good. I have used the camera around 10 hours and still have some battery left. -It charges using standard usb-c cables Of course, being a budget camera, it's not perfect. -SD card can be a little tricky to remove due to the design on the port, the cap it's too close to the SD opening -Depending on the palette used (it offers 6 different combinations) could be difficult to see the red indicator that shows the hottest spot on the image -There is no replaceable battery, and no visible screws (to disassemble and replace any battery module) -Font sizes on the image indicators tend to be small. Would be great if they offer a firmware update where the user can change the font size -The addition on a laser indicator showing the surface being scanned would making this camera even better. But for the money, it's a great tool that deserves your consideration. If I can give you a recommendation, go for the Mileseey TR256 model. ... show more
