First off, I’d like to say that I am highly impressed with the image of this monocular. Comparing this to a competitor with similar features/ camera sensor the Taipan 19-384 superseded my expectations. Was able to clearly spot wildlife and identify past 200 yards, the image was clear and the zoom was better than anticipated. As with any camera system the further you magnify the more pixels are revealed and image quality degrades but being a 2x monocular helps clearly see distant heat signatures with out the use of the zoom. I’d highly recommend this product and the purchase through Amazon the extremely fast delivery, I received next day and was able to enjoy this tool sooner than any other distributor would allow. ... show more

Do not buy if you need dependability. Love being able to see at night when it is working. Seems after multiple times having been locked out via white screen and then searching on internet for a solution, that they have lots of problems posted about their products with same problems or similar issues. My brother and friend were going to buy one because I showed them and they loved it but now I told them to research a different ones because of my problems. Too bad I waited two months before I started using it or I would have returned it. My bad for preparing for hunting season too soon. I guess a procrastinator would have been rewarded by being able to return to get full refund. :( ... show more

When you can see mice at 100 yards in a cut grass field . Yeah it’s pretty cool. The clarity on medium to full zoom is not good. Just gets blurry. For coyote , hunting, scouting, or even looking for hot or cold areas on house for heat loss this will work great . Will detect heat sources from 500+ yards that I have seen.
