  • New Features on an Already Great Product
Just so you know, I own the ITC-308 (kegerator) and an ITC-310T. I had an issue with the first ITC-310T, but that was quickly fixed by Inkbird customer service. The ITC-310T-B is different from the ITC-310T-T in the following ways: Up to 12 set temps -Lets you set 12 different temp/time parameters Continuous and Temp specific modes -Continuous takes into account time regardless of temp. Say you set ferm chamber to 66F for 12 hours. If temp goes over or under 66, it will count up to 12 hours before continuing to next stage. Temp specific will only count time spent at a specific temperature. So if set to 66 for 12 hours and it spends 30 minutes of that time trying to get to 66, then total time will be 12.5 hours. Pretty cool stuff Stage Alarms -Allows you to set an alarm for when you transition to the next stage. You can set just to sound the alarm or set it to hold temp until you advance it to next stage Current Stage Indicator -Similar to current temp, hitting the down arrow will show you what current stage you are on (this might have been in prior models, but I wasn't aware of it I am currently using this on a batch of beer and it is working as expected. Really satisfied with it. Am I saying that you need to buy one if you are happy with your ITC-310T? No. But I will say that if you want the additional temp sets and the other features, it is well worth the money especially if you can get it on sale. I am not getting paid for this and as you can see above I purchased this item myself. If you find this review helpful, please mark it helpful below. Cheers! ... show more

  • Works great for fermentation temperature control
This is a very useful timer in homebrewing. You can configure it to maintain the temperature of your beer for the full length of fermentation. For instance, you can program the timer to keep the beer at a certain minimum temperature during the early phase of fermentation (say 1-2 days) and then raise it to a much higher temperature later in the fermentation process to ensure that the fermentation completes successfully. This can be really helpful in Belgian-style brewing and in cases where you want the beer to finish very dry. I've used this timer to control an aquarium pump submerged in a huge reservoir of water inside a mini-fridge. When the beer gets too hot, the timer kicks on the pump, which pushes ice cold water through a jacket around the fermenter, cooling its contents. When the beer gets too cold, the timer kicks on a fermentation heat wrap, raising the temperature. Using a different tool to monitor fermentation temps, I've been able to use this device to keep temperatures within about 1 degree Fahrenheit of my desired goal. ... show more

  • Might work, but I'm no longer smart enough to program it.
I am apparently I'm over the hill now. I just want to turn my fan on in my greenhouse if it's too hot. I have other simple Inkbirds that turn on my heaters, and they are great. This thing, however, is just awful to program. Big FLOWCHARTS required. I'm living a simple life now, and just gave up. I found a nice analog unit, thankfully. I don't know why the other Inkbirds that I have can't work as cooling too, if you just reverse the temperatures so the top one is higher than the bottom, instead of lower. Whatever. I lost the instructions, and had to look them up. Amazon shows the PDF, but it didn't load. I'm putting this thing in a box in the attic, since I can't send it back. I actually have a rocket scientist relative, so maybe if they pay a visit, they can program the stupid thing. ... show more

  • Best Bang for any Buck
I couldn't be happier with this controller. Having both heating and cooling allows me to easily maintain temperatures during different seasons. Currently I have two Johnson A 419 controllers and to switch between heating and cooling you have to open the unit up, change the jumpers, unplug the cooling unit and plug in the heating unit. It would be especially great for times when it may be cool at night and hot during the day. It's also really nice to be able to program multiple temperature setting for fermentation. When I crash cool my beer I don't like to drop it all at once and would have to remember to go out and drop it a degree or two a few times a day. Now I can simply set the cooling ramp and not worry about it again. This would also be great for lagers. You could program a diacetyl rest and then slowly ramp it down to lagering temperatures no problem. It's also great for saisons. I can let it ramp up slowly over time and not have to think about it. The best part about this unit is the value. My old Johnson A 419's ran about $80-90 each. This unit is nearly half the price with twice the features. I'll probably replace all my Johnson's with these now that I've tried one. Thanks Inkbird for suck a great product! ... show more

  • Does it's job. Hard to understand instructions.
Overall this product has done a decent job at Serving its purpose. It keeps the temperature in the parameters designated. Has a beeping sound when the temperature is not in the parameters and needs attention to. It's a pretty good device but the instructions are written terribly. If you don't speak engineer or programmer expect to find yourself rereading the directions a few times. Altogether it has kept our fridge nice and cold for what we have needed. After figuring it out it's not that difficult to program but the learning curve for it is a struggle. ... show more

  • Works like a charm.
Using in conjunction with a standard hotplate to precisely (more or less) control a water bath temperature. Probe has been suspended in near boiling water for weeks with no ill effect other than mineral buildup.

  • Great!
We are Home Brewers! I have one of these on my Keezer and another where we have our fermentors. Read the instructions, and then you can set it up easy. Plenty of online groups to give you pointers. In both cases I use +/- 5 degrees.
