  • Works well, not for n00bs
Size: 1 Gram
This isn't a fast slap it on and go thermal paste. It took me 10 to 15 minutes to methodically rub the thermal paste onto the surface of the CPU heat spreader, but I took my time and was careful not to get thermal compound anywhere it didn't belong. It is literally liquid metal so be careful not to spill! Spreading the thermal compound on the heatsink (Noctua U12A) was fast and easy in comparison. I immediately noticed about 5 to 10 deg C drop in temp at idle and when using CPU-Z benchmarking when switching from Noctua's thermal paste to this product. ... show more

  • Lowered my temps a crazy amount
Size: 1 Gram
Delid my 8700k to remove Intel paste and replace with LM. Dropped my temps 20c at load vs paste. bumped my clock up to 5.2. I am on noctua paste I think for the heatsink.

  • Enough for a PS5 paste replacement.
Size: 1 Gram
At first i wasn't sure if the grams in this was enough for my PS5 thermal paste replacement but i still have a-lot left over! This comes with q-tips and alcohol pads. Its awesome..!

TL;DR: AMD Threadripper 2950x paired with Corsair H115i Platinum RGB water cooler, 'balanced' fan mode speed (~1100 rpm) on radiator. Corsair OEM, pre-applied thermal paste - idle 104F, load 157F. Conductonaut applied - idle 98F, load 149F; both tests 10-15 minutes of Prime95. MAIN REVIEW: I have the AMD Threadripper 2950x 16c/32t paired with the Corsair H115i Platinum RGB cooler. The 2 Corsair fans on the radiator are spinning at ~1100rpm each. My typical workload consists of running 2 Windows VMs simultaneously on a Windows 10 host. I initially used the pre-set thermal paste from Corsair pre-applied to the copper-block and idle averaged ~104F. Disassembled, cleaned, and added the Conductonaut and now seeing idle temps average 98F, with temps dipping as low as 89F. Room ambient temperature is 72F. Threw up some Prime95 testing and prior with the stock thermal paste, I hit 157F after 10 minutes. After 10 minutes with the Conductonaut, maxed out at 149F. Both radiator fans were spinning at 1260rpm, pump at 2420rpm; the fans were set at a 'performance' level of 'Balanced' within the iCUE software. I set the performance-mode for the fans at 'Extreme', they both started spinning at ~2150 rpms. After 5 minute the temp bounced between 141 and 143F. For the last 3 minutes, temp hit and sat at 149F. The CPU of all cores was bouncing between 3650 and 3700 MHz. iCUE reported the water temp at 30.8C. For another 5 minutes I let Prime95 continue running. Temps did not change. For anyone who has ever messed with Gallium in its liquid form will know what to expect from messing with Conductonaut. Try to pinch Gallium (or Conductonaut) in your hand and it'll just pop out the side...the same thing will happen when you assemble your heatsink base to the CPU block; which there is a reason the instructions say "apply a pin-drop" and [try] to spread it out. Put too much on and it'll spit out the sides! Don't put your heatsink on slowly and it can actually splatter out the sides as well. Take your time and be patient while trying to spread the liquid metal around - it will naturally glob-up and stick to the supplied Q-tip at times. Try your best. For a little pin-hole application, the results can be quite impressive! For my system, I do not plan to de-lid anything (no point for the CPU since AMD uses Indium solder between dies and heatsink). What I get out of this are some degrees cooler temps running and also longevity, not having to re-apply thermal solutions every few years due to the thermal solution drying up and/or losing its thermal conductivity efficiency over time. THINGS TO CONSIDER: Use the supplied Q-tip to spread the liquid metal around the heatsink as it's quite compacted unlike regular Q-tips that give off some fibers. A teeny-tiny application goes a long way! Also, make use of the additional supplied adapter-tip to suck up any excess application. Keep the plunger open-end and pointed up until it is over where you will be applying it. The liquid metal can fall out and splatter all over, even a little droplet! The liquid metal is very reflective and shiny. Try to examine afterwards with a flashlight after the heatsink is applied if any of the application plopped out the sides - I was able to see a shiny reflection just under the heatsink that I sucked up and cleaned (before plugging and turning system on). Be careful when moving your computer chassis. Any excess that is not spotted and cleaned up could fall and bounce around in your chassis during transportation. Wear latex/nitrile gloves if you mind your hands staining; if you get some liquid metal on your hands they'll be gray for a little bit. ... show more

  • Great thermal conductivity - Highly recommend with Ryzen for max PBO settings
Size: 1 Gram
Ok let me first say that before using this product, my prior experience with thermal paste was watching my friend apply it on my cpu for me, when he was helping me with my first pc build. I confidently bought this product after watching a couple of the more popular videos reviewing the conductonaut and how to use it. The great thing about this is that it comes with a precision metal nozzle you can use to gently squeeze out the smallest amount needed to then, spread it with the provided cotton swab. just keep at it until you see the thinnest glimmering coat covering the surface of the cpu. Try to look at it from different angles to make sure there isn't any extra puddling up for you to siphon back into the syringe, because the mounted pressure of the cooler could push the extra pooled, and conductive, liquid metal onto your other components. I tried it on my R7 2700x, Not only did it reduce temps by an average of 6 C, but it allowed me to also tweak pbo settings to max! with sustaining 4.2-4.3ghz on multicore loads (4.1-.125 all core loads). due to the high thermal conductivity of conductonaut allowing the liquid cooled cpu to immediately drop 10-15 C after spikes (with regular thermal paste, the cpu would only get to cool ~4-8 c between core spikes at lower pbo settings) -Make sure you don't use aluminum base heatsinks. a tricky one for some bight be the hyper 212 evo, don't try it. the copper pipes don't completely cover the base and there is space for the liquid metal to make contact with the aluminum and cause all kinds of problems you don't want. After using it on my ryzen cpu, and watching a another video on using conductonaut with a GPU, I decided to try it on my gygabyte gtx 1080 windforce edition. I don't have a memory of what the temps where, since the gpu already ran pretty cool but.. I can say this, after using liquid metal, I was able to go from +75 mhz to +115 mhz core clock boost (using MSI Afterburner) and only got stopped due to thermal and power limits. the memory clock stayed at +700 mhz boost in both configurations. I ordered another set after "accidentally" emptying it onto my floor after "testing" the resistances on the syringe plunger (don't worry, no pc components were within any range of being in danger :). I ordered a 3800x during the amazing cyber monday deal, so I am excited to liquid cool that cpu using conductonaut. Recommend for anyone that understands building a pc is basically like adult legos, just follow the instructions, don't step on the pieces, and you'll be fine ;) ... show more
