  • Amazing Pig equalizer
Size: 160x120; 3-6x
I am writing this long review, because I read all the reviews before I purchased these two scopes positive and negative. I was so excited to try this affordable thermal scope after reading the reviews. We have 180 acres infested with pigs tearing up the property. Have tried to hunt them for the past year unsuccessfully. I ordered two of these scopes to try out against my husband who was a Marine's advice. He had no confidence in anything at that price. I got them on Thursday followed the directions charged both for 6 hours, one charger didn't stay on the port. Have requested a replacement, minor hiccup since I bought two. If I had only one I would not be as forgiving. I was so excited to get them. The first night we just used one to look around and didn't really get the feel for the two focus abilities. Grainy and difficult to make anything out, which confirmed one review I read and my husband was sure he was right. I reiterated the positive reviews I had read and pushed to sit down and really get to the know the scope better before sending them back. The next day we really read and followed the directions and worked to move the two adjustable focuses. They were a little stiff to start with and very sensitive. You adjust too quickly and you will miss the perfect view. Charged both and sited them in on the coldest wettest day with a water bottle filled with hot water from about 120 yards using my small inexpensive 223 savage rifle. I kept the other one just to use and see how they worked. Took about six shots to really site in well. The heated water bottle maintained thermal view for about an hour and it was cold. That evening before dark we drove around and sited in different animals to see if we could clearly see the difference and get used to adjusting the scopes. One review said you couldn't tell what the animal was. Not the case at all for us. We could easily make out cows, horses, deer, birds. Our first evening we went scouting, amazing from across the 55 acre lake into the pecan orchard about 400 yards away could see them clearly pigs. Gave us the opportunity to move ahead of them, get into position and let them come to us and 40 pigs headed our way. Easy to see them, easy to shoot them. One kill 150 yards away. They all scattered because of the noise. Last night was our second night. We mounted the second scope, definitely keeping them. Killed four more pigs. Great buy, now we need a silencer to really make a dent. We killed 7 in two days. Hope this review helps someone else with making a decisions to buy this very affordable and excellent scope. I want one for every gun we have and so does my husband! ... show more

  • Great thermal optic for the money!
Size: 160x120; 3-6x
Very well made optic with 30mm tube. Battery life is better than one would expect and recharging is as simple as charging your phone. The Zero In feature was spot on....one round used to dial it in. Also purchased the one piece ATN quick release mount but have not removed/reinstalled to see if the optic stayed zeroed in. I would definitely recommend this optic for first time thermal scope owners and even advanced users.....way too fun! ... show more

  • Pretty amazing when you get used to it and make proper adjustments
Size: 160x120; 3-6x
I purchased this scope to eliminate varmints at night on the farm. This scope takes a little getting used to, but it is worth the effort. You have to have a little patience and fortitude, and you will be able to see the nasty creatures. I use it for coyotes, raccoons, opossum, and fisher cats. Focusing is easy and the image is very good. The sights are easy to use and are accurate. I purchased the low end model, to see how it works. The zoom is on 2x and 4x. But it works well. Battery life is good. I haven’t had to recharge it yet. Although I don’t use it daily, only when I get a chance or I hear a varmint trying to get a chicken. It is definitely something I want to use more and possible get another with more “zooming in” ability. It is easy to identify hogs, coyotes, raccoons, and other varmints from each other. The small the animal is the harder it is to locate, not impossible but harder to see the complete image. A caveat being that I have only used this heat sensing scope in warm to hot weather. When the weather is colder, I am sure it will be even easier to see the heat images of varmints. ... show more

  • spot critters better
Size: 320x240; 2-4x
got a used 2-4 320. 2 dead pixels but it was almost half off so great deal. eye relief allows for most normal scope rails. sightmark wraith was about 4 inches short on my bolt ruger .22lr. sensors picks up rats scurrying around @50yds, and cows @700+yds, wasn't stress testing ranges and was between 70F-90F out. 2x zoom has great field of view for patrolling and short ranges. had a 4.5x night vision scope field of view like looking through a straw, not a good way to find a pack of coyotes within 50yds in the darkness. 4 brightness setting and low work real well to not blind you when it's near pitch black out. 1 recital color, red. can work to find hot spots in non hunting applications too if you need an excuse. check your breaker box an see if any breakers are warmer that the rest. so far it works very well for my needs. ... show more

  • Does not perform as advertised
Size: 160x120; 3-6x
Advertised image produced is not close to actual results. I could not identify a 75 pound German Shepard 30 FEET away or my horse 75 FEET away.

  • Nice scope for the money as advertised, quick delivery
Size: 160x120; 3-6x
This is my first thermal scope purchase and I couldn't be happier with the scope quality and price. It definitely beats my old night vision scope. I highly recommend the Thor LT Thermal Rifle Scope. I zeroed it in yesterday on my .17 WSM and I'm hitting three rounds within a dime size at 50 yards. I don't plan on shooting anything much farther than 50 yards, Here in Georgia the woods are thick and that's where I hunt coyotes. When sighting it in I initially used a hand warmer, but that didn't last long as shown in pic. I then used a hot .17 expended round taped to the target which worked out great. The menu items are easy to navigate and save. The battery life is hands-down 10+ hours. I also recommend purchasing the scope rings, ATN Quick Detach Mount for 30mm Scope Tube, Black. It makes it easy to quickly move the scope from one weapon to another, don't forget to write down your zeroing coordinates for each weapon. You can't save the zero for multiple weapons, but you can quickly move the zero to the correct X and Y coordinates which is a nice feature. ... show more
