  • Great snow remover but it does have limitations
I get paid to keep the walkways clear of snow for a local bank. Both walkways are smooth and even, which is definitely a plus using this type of shovel. The much larger one is newly paved, while the shorter one is poured concrete, like the big one used to be. This shovel glides nicely and clears snow away very cleanly. To get the best results, don't let the snow build up, especially if it's a wet, heavy snow. No more than a couple inches. Any more and snow will spill over the top after pushing a ways. It also isn't really designed for actually lifting the snow and throwing it. The big thing I have found is make sure you don't store it with the blade standing up. It will warp the blade, causing it to 'curl', and it won't leave as clean a pass. You can put the blade flat and put weight on it and it will flatten it back into shape. Learned this by storing it in my backseat. I now take it out after every use and keep it standing up with the blade flat. But it clears the snow nice and quick. Worth the money. ... show more

  • What is hopeful
Bought hoping we would get snow. Unfortunately we never did and over the duration of the year one of the edges warped not sure how that’s going to work if we get snow this winter.

  • Nice for quick removal of light snow
Only got to use this a few times towards the end of winter after buying it, but in general it worked well. It is wide and clears a lot of snow quickly. I found it was most useful for fairly light snow. Fluffy snow of an inch or two was removed so much faster then with a regular shovel. When the snow was heavier or deeper though, I would still reach for my old shovel. This pusher *pushes* snow, as the name implies - there's really no way to "pick up the snow" to deposit it elsewhere. Since it is a pusher, if the snow is deep and/or heavy, you can end up with a big heavy pile that is hard to move very quickly. Of course, you'll end up with mounds of snow just off the edge of the driveway, which in general, is fine, but if you get another snowfall shortly after, then you push the snow up to the previously pushed snow and the driveway starts to shrink. Really though, this thing is great when you have an inch and a half of fluffy snow and just want to get it off the driveway in as little time as possible. The blade has some heft to it, so it scrapes all the way down to the pavement leaving your driveway nice and clean. Well worth the purchase, even if it isn't a complete shovel replacement in all situations. ... show more

  • Unreal
I rarely (never) take the time to write a product review. With this shovel, I just had to. This thing is a complete beast. First of all, it is extremely sturdy and well constructed. The plastic scoop is very thick; you can tell that it will never crack or wear down in any significant way. It should last a lifetime. I bought this about a week ago and was hoping for some snow so that I could test it out. Mother nature didn't disappoint! Yesterday, we got about 8 inches. Sweet! I have a fairly large driveway that, along with the front and back porches and the front sidewalk, would easily take me about an hour to shovel with this amount of snow using a regular snow shovel. I'm not kidding when I say I flew through this task in about 20 minutes. This thing is unreal. As a side note, quick story time (this happened during these short 20 minutes): I live in a neighborhood with a couple of streets of single family homes circling around our neighborhood park. We're on the outside of these rings, beyond which are several rows of smaller, ranch-style patio homes. Unlike those of us in the single family homes, the patio home owners all have their landscaping and snow removal done for them, covered by their monthly HOA dues. The snow removal piece of this consists of a large crew - probably 30 men - descending upon the neighborhood with their shovels, going from house to house after every snow storm. They probably have about 40 houses too hit, so it takes them a couple hours, maybe a bit longer with this much snow. Anyway, they had finished up and were walking past my house and back to their trucks while I was clearing my driveway with this incredible shovel (or plow...it really is more of a plow). A group of them - probably 8-10 - literally stopped and just watched, in what seemed like disbelief, for a couple of moments before continuing on their way. I mean, I was just blasting my way through the task of clearing my driveway with this thing. It was amusing to see the looks on their faces as they walked by, after having completed their task with regular snow shovels. So, if you're far enough along in considering this product that you're reading this review, go ahead and buy it. I promise you won't be disappointed. ... show more

  • Great shovel. Little short for my 6'4" husband.
This gets four stars instead of five for only two shortcomings: only because it's not long enough for my tall husband., and because it would be easier to use if it was canted diagonally so that as you would push it in a straight line while walking forward, it would put all the snow removed to one side, rather than pushing it straight forward. ... show more

  • Poor handle
This would be an even better product if the handle was improved to allow use of both hands. This pushes a lot of snow, it’s difficult to grip the handle and push with both hands. You end up along the side of the shovel instead of having it in front of you, like a snow plow.

  • Great shovel
I have 20 subdivision size driveways I snow blow during the winter in Michigan. I’ve used this way more than I thought I would. For lighter snow on a smaller driveway I can clear a driveway in minutes and not even use my snowblower.
