"I bought The Snowplow "The Original Snow Pusher" 36" Wide Model 50536 for my staff and the 48" wide model for myself, and I have mixed feelings about the products. The 36" wide model worked perfectly for my staff, allowing them to efficiently clear snow without any issues. The durable construction and efficient design of the pusher made the snow removal process quick and easy for them. On the other hand, the 48" wide model that I purchased for myself presented a challenge. The size was larger than I anticipated, and I found it difficult to maneuver in tight spaces. As a result, I had to cut it down to a smaller size to make it more manageable for my needs. While this modification was inconvenient, it did improve the usability of the pusher for me personally. Despite the initial setback with the larger model, both pushers have proven to be durable and effective in clearing snow. The sturdy construction and quality materials used in their manufacturing ensure that they can withstand heavy use and tough weather conditions. The wide blade design efficiently pushes snow aside, making snow removal a much easier task. I do not like that the blade will warp and I have to heat it to get the blade to lay flat again, (hanging it up keeps it from doing this) Overall, I am satisfied with The Snowplow "The Original Snow Pusher" models, especially after modifying the 48" wide one to better suit my needs. They are reliable tools for snow removal and have made clearing snow a more manageable chore for my staff and myself.     • Great for snow removal
This is a great snow removal product. First use was very positive with somewhat heavy snow. I needed to change tactics a bit and push less snow. I could not do very long pushes at a time, but long enough for the shovel to be effective. I was able do the majority of what I needed with this shovel and about 5 -6 inches of heavy-ish snow, but I needed an 18 inch shovel to manage the really condensed stuff at the end of the driveway. This shovel is sturdy and built like a tank. It will last a long time. The only thing I wished was a bit better would be maybe a larger handle or a different handle set up so I could get more leverage while pushing the snow. At a certain point, it gets tough to put enough pressure on the shovel. Other than that, I am really happy that I own this shovel. It will make snow shoveling/pushing/clearing a lot less time consuming in the future. ... show more

    • Rather push than lift
Very sturdy. Hubby had a monster of a snow pusher - like using a sheet of wood to push snow - totally a PITA. Got this - seems more maneuverable and lighter, although very sturdy. Hope I never need it (wishful thinking).

    • Nice for quick removal of light snow
Only got to use this a few times towards the end of winter after buying it, but in general it worked well. It is wide and clears a lot of snow quickly. I found it was most useful for fairly light snow. Fluffy snow of an inch or two was removed so much faster then with a regular shovel. When the snow was heavier or deeper though, I would still reach for my old shovel. This pusher *pushes* snow, as the name implies - there's really no way to "pick up the snow" to deposit it elsewhere. Since it is a pusher, if the snow is deep and/or heavy, you can end up with a big heavy pile that is hard to move very quickly. Of course, you'll end up with mounds of snow just off the edge of the driveway, which in general, is fine, but if you get another snowfall shortly after, then you push the snow up to the previously pushed snow and the driveway starts to shrink. Really though, this thing is great when you have an inch and a half of fluffy snow and just want to get it off the driveway in as little time as possible. The blade has some heft to it, so it scrapes all the way down to the pavement leaving your driveway nice and clean. Well worth the purchase, even if it isn't a complete shovel replacement in all situations. ... show more
