  • wonderful book
There is also workbook that you can purchase along with this, I have purchased four of the workbooks. I work this book every year, and learn something new each time. I also go to the classes through my work, and learn something new each year from that as well.

  • How we determine if a person is lying? Read this book.
Humans are about the most interesting thing going and their truth and lie telling make the world go ‘round. Interesting how easily beguiled by our own ( human) precept of the “default -to-truth“ phenomenum described with real life stories by this author of Blink. I’m enjoying the book.

  • Fantastci ideas.
This cheerful how-to book helps shy people get past Hello in social situations with practical, advice you can start using right away. It offers advice on how to excuse yourself from a conversation, and how to avoid Yes and No questions and answers to get a real conversation flowing.

  • Written in large print
Large print more like a pamphlet, but some good tips.

  • Lots of generic common sense advice
Just about everything in the book is cliche advice and pointers we have heard throughout our lives. A lot of the material is also just common sense.

  • A must read for people with social anxiety
So helpful, I wish I had read this 20 years ago! A must read for people with social anxiety

  • Not pragmatic
This book talked all around small talk but didn't have much practical information I was looking for. I was hoping for specific information and examples.

  • Very Basic
This short book presents mostly basic, self-evident strategies for fostering engaging small talk with others. Some helpful suggestions for questions to ask others are provided. Overall, it felt a bit like I was reading someone’s term paper rather than a fully developed book.
