This works as advertised, except for “connects in 5 seconds”. It actually takes about 15 seconds before I can use CarPlay. I suspect that it takes 5 seconds for the Magic Link to connect to the car, but then takes another 5-10 seconds for the phone to connect to the Magic Link. Not a big deal, it takes almost that long with a wired connection. The connection is flawless, works every time and stays connected. Itis small and very unobtrusive, you wouldn’t even know it was there! Before I had the Magic Link, I would frequently leave my phone in the car if I used CarPlay. Now, the phone stays in my pocket. I read the reviews but there enough positive views that I thought I would take the chance. Ye its super easy to connect. However, there is lag in the sound. Biggest complaint is that it worked fine for a couple weeks and in less than a month, it now won’t connect to my phone. I bought this when it was on sale and at the sale price I would say it is worth it. At full price I probably would not purchase it. It is a bit glitchy though. Sometimes it works great and starts up right away when you get in the car, sometimes no matter what I do, it even says it's connected, it just does not work. When that happens I unplug it and plug it back it, sometimes that fixes the issue sometimes it doesn't. No idea why it glitches. There is a bit of a delay when starting it up sometimes, other times it starts up immediately. Overall, it does work most of the time, probably around 95% of the time so the convenience it offers when it works keeps me using it. ... show more

Have a vehicle with Ford Sync. I LOVE having the ability to plug in my IPhone to use my WAZE navigation app. But the Lightning Port started to fail, stopped connecting. The Magic Wireless Adapter is a game changer. Connected easily following the on screen instructions. Whatever App worked via wired connection works flawlessly with this device. No problems, works as expected. Been using in my 2020 Ford Superduty. It does change the CarPlay menu’s a bit from the app menu displayed when using CarPlay via standard cable (as designed for this truck). Note; When reading setup instructions, WiFi was discussed… I didn’t have to use this and assume this is an alternative way of connecting than Bluetooth (which I don’t see the use case for, but I am syncing an iPhone 13). Recommended! Would buy again… like having tech support in the States you can call! ... show more

Setup was a PIA as the instructions didn’t match to what was actually happening. After setup, it works well most of the time but about 40% of the times I start my car it fails to connect. This unit is plug-and-pray although it is touted as plug-and-play.

Connected and worked great for about three months. Then it started having issues connecting, sometimes it would after a long wait, sometimes it wouldn't at all. Conveniently, worked throughout the return window, but now I'm beyond the timeframe to return so I own a very expensive paper weight.
