  • Nice variety of music
Good value for the price, but I wish there was a spiral bound edition.

  • Amazing Classic Selection
These pieces are arranged beautifully in an easy-to-play manner. I love the arrangement style and easy-to-read sheet music. This book does not have a spiral binder-type of binding to it but it does lay open on my piano while I'm playing just fine, especially if you bend it open when you first get it. ... show more

  • bad choice of composers, too easy
Too much of a composer who is not known and is not good and not enough Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Chopin. I would not recommend this to anyone.

  • I LOVE THIS BOOK OF GREAT CLASSICAL MUSIC!!!
I could not be happier with this compilation of great classical plano pieces ranging in difficulty from quite easy to challenging. What I most like about it is the collection of great recognizable composers such as Chopin, Beethoven, Bach, Schumann, and so many others. I played many of these pieces 60 - - that's right 60 - - years ago when I was a teenager. I had studied for 8 years at the Cleveland Institute of Music. In the last month or two, I discovered that I wanted to go back to piano. Ovrr the decades, I had not left music entirely as I sang with a symphonic chorus for more than 25 years. But piano playing had no longer been a part of my life. I can't tell you how much I am enjoying getting back to this. I have yellow stickies on probably 8 pieces that I want to master. I even have hopes of giving a small recital one day in my 55+condo community. One of the great gifts of getting back to piano at my age is that i am able to bring a life's worth of experience and sensitivity to these pieces tha I could never have brought to them as a youngster or even young adult. I expect this bounteous book to keep me busy for the rest of my life. The only drawback is the way it is bound. I immediately took it to my local Office Depot to have a spiral binding added to it. That makes all the difference in the world. ... show more

  • Many known with some gems
This is a bargain if take the price into consideration. Yes it contains many intermediate pieces, but I anticipate a more diverse collection as in this book some opus are "completely included", e.g. Burgemuller op 100 et al.

  • Great Compilation. Great for Intermediate Level Music.
I got this book of Classical Piano Music for my teen. She needs a more intermediate level because she likes to play a lot of the classical pieces, but some can be a bit too complex for her at this moment, & she then gets frustrated/ discouraged when trying to play certain pieces. I figured an intermediate level would help boost her confidence and ease her into music better. I was right. This book has a LOT of great pieces and they sound amazing when she plays. I was surprised at how thick this book actually is. Overall this is a great book for pianist that are above the level of "kid" pieces, but perhaps aren't quite ready for something too complex. A lot of pieces to choose from in this book. ... show more

  • Served my needs!
This book far exceeded my expectations! I have recently started playing the prelude at my church services and needed music that can be played that is in the public domain since we are now on Zoom. The pieces in this book have been easy to learn, and appropriate for a church setting. I have already played several pieces and have several more planned. Even some of the many "excercises" in the book can be combined and played together. ... show more

  • A great compilation!
This is a great book of interesting pieces. An intermediate pianist will find works that are easy to play, as well as some that will challenge. I consider this book a wonderful tool for teaching!
