I have a very nice potty that was on my baby shower list. It is easy to clean and very sturdy and I loved it until I discovered that the little bump in the front was worse than completely useless for little boys. My son is 20 months old and started toilet training at 18 months. He has no concept of aiming or sitting a certain way so that urine does not end up everywhere, so it would get on his legs, me, the floor, and our clothes,. I started putting dog pee pads under the potty and making sure there was nothing within three feet of it. That worked OK, but they are not cheap since I had to get the XL size for them to be effective. So I searched "for boys potty" and decided to buy this race car potty despite the complaints about it being low to the ground. My son is both younger than most boys when they start training and small for his age so it is perfect for him. He loves cars and sits on it willingly. At $27.99 it cost less than one bag of 50 XL pee pads. I have only had it for a week, but I just make sure he sits square and the guard does the rest. You do have to completely remove the seat to get the container out to empty it, I wish it had a lid that popped up like my first one. However, that is a small price to pay for a potty that actually works for a boy. ... show more

It’s a great potty training toilet for any kids that love cars ! My kiddo loves it . Although my 3 year old is on the tall side for his age ; and the potty is very low to the ground . So that’s why I gave it 4 stars . I wish it was little bit taller . But that’s my only issue with it . So he is using a different one that is taller . It super light weight ; ease to move around the house or even take with you in the car if needed . Easy to remove the seat to dump out . Doesn’t leak . Never thought I would review a potty, but now that I’ve been through a few, I’m so happy I have this one. It’s got a high pee catcher, which is necessary for a toddler boy who is using the potty for the first time. You want the toddler boy to learn to recognize his body signals, but you can’t expect them to hold their privates or they might get overwhelmed and give up. That’s why the high pee catcher is so helpful in catching the pee and preventing accidents/cleanup. Then, the top has the pee catcher and handles for the toddler to hold onto when pushing himself up when he’s done, which is great so that the seat doesn’t stick to his bottom when getting up, falls on the filled potty>more cleanup. Also, easy to pick up the potty top from the side handle instead of the only place to grab being the pee catcher like other potties. The potty bottom has a place to grab it from the side so you don’t have to touch where he just when #1 or #2. Therefore, cleanup is easy for the whole potty and it prevents accidents/cleanup due to highly advanced potty design.
