Bought this for my mother, we are big HP fans, for her birthday. She LOVED it. She collects snow globes so naturally she needed and HP snow globe. This one is beautiful, has great details all around, plays music, the turning train, and sturdy. Exactly what I was looking for. It's a Christmas gift for my daughter. Perfect size sounds great and very very attractive. Can't speak to the sturdiness but I suspect it's rather delicate.

After reading the other reviews saying it didn't come with a power cord I purchased one separately. Well mine came with one. Sure is a pretty globe, think my great nephews and niece will love it!

    • It's OK but not as impressive as I thought it would be. They ship it using the cheap FedEx SmartPost
I bought this item as a Christmas gift for my wife. She loves the Harry Potter books and movies. First off for the money you would think it would have been shipped in some sort of box that surrounded the molded styrofoam that the globe is in. Nope. It was shipped in just the styrofoam with the certificate of authenticity taped to it. That certificate was all bent and wrinkled. You pay nearly $20 for shipping yet they ship it by the cheapest slowest way possible FedEx SmartPost. Smartpost and Surepost are so cheap and your items can sit on a pallet for days or weeks before it ever moves to the next stop and eventually to the USPS who cannot deliver it until they actually receive it from FedEx. There is a port for an AC/Transformer Power source but it is not provided or explains where to get one or what size the output plug is. She liked it but it wasn't as impressed as I expected and the sound was mediocre at best. In my opinion, it is not worth $100 for the Globe and $20 for the most despised form of slow Smartpost shipping is a ripoff. Look up the complaints on that form of shipping...lots of complaints. ... show more

My mom is die-hard Harry Potter fan and a collector of snow globes. I got this for her for Mother's Day and she was in tears when she opened it. The music was clear and authentic. It is pricey, but it was worth it to see my mom so happy and the quality is good. It is not a snow globe where it starts to get foggy. I gave this to my mom 2 years ago and she still loves it!!!! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is a gift for my mother she collects snow globes and Harry Potter is her absolute favorite. It plays the song, lights up, the train moves, says 9 3/4 on the back and has the 3 main characters on it. I can’t wait to see her face when she opens it. The water in this snow globe turned a dark brown in a short time. Bradford Exchange says “sorry for the inconvenience”and will not make it right. What an awful and expensive gift.
