I have an antique metal milk jug on my hearth. It's dark brown and I wanted to lighten it up. I tied the garland around the top of the jug. It hangs just long enough with the tassels and brings the jug to life while lightening it up for effect. I also draped some on a set of books I have on display for the same effect. When opening from the package they smell pretty strong of paint or whatever they are made out of, but the smell isn't as strong now that they have been sitting out. They are durable and cute. The tassel ends are kind of stiff. Overall good product for the price, and cute for a decoration!
