This thatching rake is great for yard, where I sometimes ignore it, and allow different grasses to take over. The crab grass and dead grass doesn’t stand a chance against this thatching rake! It is simple to assemble, just twist the parts together, and you have a durable, thick handled rake. The head has effectively sharp teeth, that pick up and/or cut the necessary roots and allow you to pull up dead grass and bundled bushels. Assembly was a breeze with the exception of one part. The rake comes with included tools. However, the flimsy little box wrench was worthless. It was so thin that it would not stay on the nut to hold while tightening. Ended up having to get a real box wrench to attach the head piece. But otherwise, the rake feels durable and is great for smaller areas that just need some roughing up in the yard. ... show more

This was very easy to assemble and is adjustable- as in you can remove the center pole to shorten it as needed. The tines are very sturdy. This is good for raking up debris, rolling turf and evening out dirt to lay turf. The grip is comfortable and did not cause blisters on my hands. I've used it to clear weeds from a section of my yard to replant and re soil and it really made a huge difference in getting it done quickly and efficiently. This is quite easy to assemble. The reason for only 4 stars is because I am not certain how long the handle will sustain the raking pressure. I own a power dethatcher and it's great when I need to do the entire yard. I do like that it is smaller and manual and when I need to dethatch a small space, this is the perfect size. It pulls the old, dead grass up and helps promote new growth. It works well. I also like it for easy storing. I can disassemble it and put it in a drawer or box. There are four segments to the handle, and two of them wouldn't tighten - we had to deform them to get them to tighten and stay tight. But other than that, once we got it together it's not a bad quality. It's got a nice wide head with sturdy blades that help you get the job done effectively and fast. Not sure how long it will hold up though, given the issues with handle assembly. ... show more

Epic FAIL all the way around! No, I am not being dramatic. I have ordered hundreds of items from Amazon, done about 500 Amazon reviews and this product easily makes my "10 Worst Products to Buy on Amazon" List. Not only did the handle fail, but when I continue to de-thatched my lawn, the bracket that holds the rake disconnected (shoddy spot held and cheap steel), and the tines were starting to bend. Detaching takes some effort. If you have a heavy build up of thatch, you need a solid and sturdy rake, strength & endurance, and a willing to go out and tackle the job. That is why most people hire a professional with a machine to de-thatch their yard. A de-thatching rake is for small areas- this rake, on the other hand, is for the trash. The company, Copiu, should completely recall this product and go back to the drawing board. Be careful, instead of one product, they have it listed as three separate products to stay ahead of the bad reviews. And will probably continue to slightly change the title to make it look like a new product. Regarding the handle, the title says "...Robust Handle". This is a way to get around pending lawsuits as they can claim they listed it as "yo-bust" the handle but was lost in translation. SHAME! I got this product from Amazon to review. So all this cost me was my time. At least I got about 200 sq ft of my lawn de-thatched before this rake fell apart. Do yourself a favor, skip this product and scroll on by. ... show more
