This was very easy to assemble and is adjustable- as in you can remove the center pole to shorten it as needed. The tines are very sturdy. This is good for raking up debris, rolling turf and evening out dirt to lay turf. The grip is comfortable and did not cause blisters on my hands. I've used it to clear weeds from a section of my yard to replant and re soil and it really made a huge difference in getting it done quickly and efficiently. This is quite easy to assemble. The reason for only 4 stars is because I am not certain how long the handle will sustain the raking pressure. I own a power dethatcher and it's great when I need to do the entire yard. I do like that it is smaller and manual and when I need to dethatch a small space, this is the perfect size. It pulls the old, dead grass up and helps promote new growth. It works well. I also like it for easy storing. I can disassemble it and put it in a drawer or box. There are four segments to the handle, and two of them wouldn't tighten - we had to deform them to get them to tighten and stay tight. But other than that, once we got it together it's not a bad quality. It's got a nice wide head with sturdy blades that help you get the job done effectively and fast. Not sure how long it will hold up though, given the issues with handle assembly. ... show more

Epic FAIL all the way around! No, I am not being dramatic. I have ordered hundreds of items from Amazon, done about 500 Amazon reviews and this product easily makes my "10 Worst Products to Buy on Amazon" List. Not only did the handle fail, but when I continue to de-thatched my lawn, the bracket that holds the rake disconnected (shoddy spot held and cheap steel), and the tines were starting to bend. Detaching takes some effort. If you have a heavy build up of thatch, you need a solid and sturdy rake, strength & endurance, and a willing to go out and tackle the job. That is why most people hire a professional with a machine to de-thatch their yard. A de-thatching rake is for small areas- this rake, on the other hand, is for the trash. The company, Copiu, should completely recall this product and go back to the drawing board. Be careful, instead of one product, they have it listed as three separate products to stay ahead of the bad reviews. And will probably continue to slightly change the title to make it look like a new product. Regarding the handle, the title says "...Robust Handle". This is a way to get around pending lawsuits as they can claim they listed it as "yo-bust" the handle but was lost in translation. SHAME! I got this product from Amazon to review. So all this cost me was my time. At least I got about 200 sq ft of my lawn de-thatched before this rake fell apart. Do yourself a favor, skip this product and scroll on by. ... show more

We blew it and didn't get moss killer or soil sweetener on our lawn this year and are paying dearly for it. I figured if this worked on dead grass it would work on moss but we have really tough moss and the green grass is giving up before the moss is. It does work and will certainly be great for dead grass but I prefer my spring tooth rake for getting the moss out - it just wears me out however so was hoping this would work. It is really quite beastly and well made. The handle is a ten... Happy with the product and will kill the moss and see if it doesn't work better if the moss is dead. ... show more

This has got to be the most hard-core rake I have ever seen. This things clears anything you put in its path. The handle is a little flimsy, but the rake itself is solid. It also bolts onto the bottom of the handle with multiple bolts, so this thing isn't coming apart. If you're looking for the king of rakes, I would definitely get this one. I really needed a rake like this in the fall but I’m glad to have it now. We’re trying to get rid of crab grass and this rake will definitely help. I was able to use it now ( very early summer) in an area we want to expand for a larger driveway and it helped to clear the dead grass we’ve been working on clearing. A good study rake. I definitely have been getting a workout using it but it’s worth the effort and it’s helped a lot. ... show more
