In Volume 9 of That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime not much happens from a plot prospective but from a character prospective a lot does happen. In a non spoiler way of summarizing the theme of this volume, it's about self reflection. Rimuru this entire series hasn't had much of an opportunity to think about his new life and this volume gives him that. A small little line that most will miss that summarizes this, is him wondering how long do aliens live for. There's plenty comedy and other things to enjoy in this volume. But if I had any to recommend reading volume 9 , it would be to take your time and let the notions really sink in. I have been MickManga and I will see you all in the next volume. ... show more

I like the manga more than the anime. The art is better and the set up/pacing is better here than in the anime. They are both good but this is better

Nice easy read A little too predictable needs some cliff hangers. The talk between dragon and demon are instructive. Good job

But it has Gazel in it, who I like a lot, as a character, so I have it as extra star for that.
