    • Only a good calculator if you know what you’re doing

Most high schools in the United States require or heavily encourage this calculator for higher level math (above integrated 3/ Algebra 2). I had to buy this calculator for my Algebra 2 class around a year ago and didn’t really like how it felt to use. I liked how it was rechargeable and the battery lasted forever so I didn’t really have to think about charging it that often, but there was just too many little things that made the experience using this calculator worse. Even though all of the key shortcuts were taught to me because my math class was explicitly taught using this calculator, they were easy to forget and hard to find. Everything was buried beneath menus and lists. I much more prefer the system of CASIO calculators (just personal preference) It’s a very capable calculator, but way too expensive. If your school doesn’t require this calculator, you can easily get another option, because at the end of the day a calculator is a calculator. ... show more

Calculator came nicely packaged in a box within a padded envelope, however the box itself looks like it had something on top of it. Thankfully inside it also was within it's hard case and bubble wrap so it boots up just fine and seems to be otherwise unaffected. Nice graphics and easy to see keys make is great for high schoolers and college students alike. A little bulky if you aren't using for school work or in an engineering field. As a teacher, this is the most common calculator used in schools today for math courses and having one as either a teacher or a student is essential. ... show more

Works great and is worth every penny. I would recommend you get a refurbished one for cheaper since it will work the same as new anyway. One thing I would not recommend is buying off brand ones. I have had problems and they often don't include all of the useful features this calculator has.
