    • Great Calculator.
I teach statistics, and use the TI calculators all the time. Mostly I use a TI-84. Unfortunately, it doesn't always show up on the overhead projector very well. For that reason, and to have a spare for students who forget theirs, I decided to buy the new back lit version. The difference on the overhead is amazing! This shows up great. Not only that, the graphs look much nicer than on the old one, and it has a few additional features that the old one doesn't. Considering that this was marked down due to package damage, I got a good price on it as well. I really didn't see that much damage to the package, but I sure did love the price! Only one caveat - the calculator doesn't seem as robust as the older models. It is nice and light though, so I suppose that's a trade-off. I didn't think the blue was quite as pretty in real life as it is in the picture, but I didn't buy it for looks, so that's fine with me. ... show more

    • Perfect for Kids Taking the SAT or ACT
The media could not be loaded. It works for all the kids and all the tests! So, our kiddo needed this for the SAT tests and for classes. Then our second kiddo needed one too! We checked the website for the SAT and the ACT to be sure that this was one of the accepted calculators and it is. This works for STAT class as well as Math. It is light weight so you are not adding to the already heavy teenagers back pack. It comes with a cover to protect it while it is bouncing around in the backpack and It comes charged and ready to go. The only thing that would make this whole package perfect is a small drawstring bag to keep the charger and cables in. This is exactly what we needed! ... show more

This is such a reliable calculator. We needed a new one after the one my son had had for 4 years went through the washing machine :/ They are reliable, take a beating and the battery life is great. Don't cheap out on this.

Calculator is one of the best I have every used. It is the same thing as a ti-84 plus but much thinner and the screen is colored. Battery last one to 4 weeks depending on how much you used it (I would just use it in math and log twice and it would last a month but when we would use it more maybe 3 weeks) ... show more

I had never used this type of calculator and recently went back to college and was required to take a college math course. I am so happy I borrowed this model and was amazed by how easy it was to use. I would first like to say this calculator could have been the best calculator, opposing the battery powered ti 84. But undoubtedly this calculator is a failed product. I bought this not knowing that one day a year later I wouldn’t be able to use it any more. I had not used the calculator over the summer and it died of battery. Upon plugging it in it became evident that it was stuck in an infinite loop of “validating OS” turns off, then turns back on. Then “validating OS” turns off, then turns back on. Then “validating OS” turns off, then turns back on. I kept it on charge for over 10 hours and it stayed in this loop. I went to the support forums and found a way to get a replacement battery since this is a “known issue” I have not heard back from Texas Instruments and am waiting to see if I ever receive that replacement battery. DO NOT BUY THIS CALCULATOR IF YOU WILL LEAVE IT UNUSED FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME. Opt in for the battery powered ones. ... show more
