  • Cheap and sturdy.
I use a short 'task' type stool in my practice area. I would just rest my foot on the support ring but even after padding it my foot would get sore after a while and the height wasn't quite right. I found this foot rest and it's prefect for my needs. In fact, I just ordered a second one. With my short stool the second lowest height adjustment is a perfect match. The foot rest has a scissor type adjustment mechanism and at the second setting the base is the same width as the foot rest. This makes it the most stable feeling setting. As you adjust the height up the width of the base decreases and it becomes less stable. That is, you can tip the entire rest forward or backward on edge just by changing your weight distribution on it as the base becomes a lot narrower than the foot rest. So if you want to tap your foot on it that could be a problem if you use the higher settings as it becomes very 'tippy' for lack of a better term. But at the lower heights it is very stable and sturdy feeling. I've used it in bare feet and the rubber pad is comfortable enough. If you are gigging with it it folds down to about 1/2" thick so it's compact and weights less than 2 lbs. so it's pretty portable. It's a pretty substantial steel build and the padding is riveted on so it should hold up pretty well. For the price and my needs it was perfect. ... show more

  • Awesome foot rest
Comfortable, sturdy, and it has many height settings.

  • Sturdy, Solid, Well-Made, Inexpensive
I'll only add that the top surface is a hard rubber tread like the tread of a boot, which is a little uncomfortable when using it barefoot.

  • Good option, if you keep it stabile.
It's small, inexpensive, easily portable, and seemingly well-made (have had no problems in that department after using it daily for six months). It's narrow, so you need to make sure your foot is on it correctly, or it can fall over, but it won't move on a bare floor--it's just tippable sideways. If it doesn't bother your back to have one leg raised and the other on the floor when you play, it's a great solution for classical guitar playing. Unfortunately for me, I can only use it on the lowest rung without pain, so I still have to use a small lift on my left leg to get the guitar in the correct position. But it still works better than a lifter alone. ... show more

  • Great foot rest
This foot rest is sturdy and easy to adjust, there’s plenty of adjustment for any height, it helped me with positioning my guitar while sitting for practice.

  • Great & affordable foot rest.
I'm really pleased with this foot rest. It's really sturdy and it stays put. It is not flimsy under weight and does not slide around the floor. The foot surface area is large enough to accommodate my foot (men's size 12 shoe) comfortably, and the rubber has good grip. The height adjustment has a pretty wide range. It's relatively lightweight, and folds up nice and flat so you can toss it in your bag or case. This will help your playing posture and instrument position in any style of music, but I'd say it's a must for doing any classical/flamenco playing. It's especially great when when playing something with difficult/strange chords or fingerings as it takes much of the instrument supporting work out of your fret hand and places it into you leg. I recommend this one.Really, you can't pass it up at this price. ... show more
