This is a great drone for the price. I purchased it for my teen nephew and wanted to evaluate it for myself before I give it to him. Now I am considering buying one for myself. My only other experience with drones is the Mota JetJat Ultra from about 6 years ago; it makes the Q8 look and perform like a Cadillac. OVERAL QUALITY: The drone is well constructed and durable. It comes in a nicely laid out padded case which will help protect the drone and accessories. INSTRUCTIONS: The included instructions are good for a beginner. Definitely watch the operational video accessible by QR code AND additional videos by searching YouTube (there are several). Calibrations are VERY important. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AND FOLLOW THEM TO THE LETTER FOR MAXIMUM ENJOYMNENT! CUSTOMER SERVICE: Customer service is excellent. Their email address is on the front page of the instructions. I contacted them for information on availability of spares, and they responded the same day. That is a HUGE plus in my book. CONTROLLER: The controller is well made and durable. Controls are easy to manipulate and responsive. Battery life for the controller is OK; you'll probably have to recharge the controller before you run out of flight time with the 3 included drone batteries. Information about the drone such as battery life, distance, and mode are right on the screen. You can operate the drone with a phone; I think that might be best for a beginner in order to learn the basics of navigation. PHONE CONTROL: The drone app really looks great and is easy to download, set-up and operate. I downloaded the Android version, and I didn't have any problems. I didn't try ALL the features because I wanted to explore them with my nephew later. The phone holder holds my old Nexus 6 (Shamu) with no problems, so most smartphones should fit in the holder. BATTERIES: The batteries deliver as promised. They are slightly difficult to insert and remove, but I was being super cautious as it's a gift. Allow a couple hours to charge using a standard USB-C charging cord. DISCLAIMER: Amazon did replace 1 battery due to a defect, but I had the replacement in just a couple days. CAMERA: The camera quality and controls are really good. I didn't spend a lot of time with video as I was trying to improve my drone navigation skills. You won't get professional video with this, but you didn't pay an arm and a leg for the drone either. CONCLUSION: Great if you are wanting to get started with drones and don't want to go broke in the process. Suitable for responsible teens and adults, it's a lot of fun without the stress of an expensive investment. ... show more

I always believe there is someone for every product. This drone is for those who want a with a fun to fly drone that is stable, well built, gives excellent fly time, enough power to overcome the winds at the beach, all with a good camera the provides solid picture quality. Performance this drone has 4 brushless motors which provide instant power. This is critical for control and wind resistance. Pay attention to the initial set up, while it's a little odd it's very easy to do. This set up will make flying later much more enjoyable, as well as open up some additional features like return home. When it comes to the camera other than the pictures where you. An see the drone they were taken by the drone, not too bad for this price range. The app from tsrc also us a very nice to have and well worth it. A note when setting it up if you have a samsung turn off the feature that automatically switches to a better internet connection. Initially I struggled because the drone has no internet so my phone would switch to mobile data or to another wifi. This stops the app from recognizing the drone. The picture are good and the button on the remote is helpful to take them. Overall this is a fantastic drone I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Are there others that are better, I am sure but are they in this price range, unlikely. ... show more

This is a great little beginner drone, it is easy to setup and fly, this is great for the the price too. Picture quality is pretty good, I haven’t recorded any videos yet, but will soon. Durability seems OK , it does come with extra propellor blades just in case. Also comes with 3 batteries, which provides plenty of fly time. Overall would recommend ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Out of the box first impression is I love love love the case that it comes it, my much more expensive DJI drone doesn't even come with a case... The three batteries included in the one I bought are a very nice touch and being able to charge them and and the controller with USB-C is a huge bonus over having to have a special charger to deal with. The controller felt great in my big paws that are referred to as some as hands lol, and the controls were nice and simple compared to some drone's I have flown. On my Phatom 3 you have to remember what each switch does but surprisingly on this cheaper drone the buttons are well marked and simple to understand. The app was a little clunky to get going but after figuring out to do it in a specific order by turning on the drone and remote and turning off my phones cell service temporarily and then selecting the drones wifi and then opening the app it connected perfectly every time. The camera on it does good just remember it doesn't have a gimble so if you tilt the drone by moving it around or the wind hits it the video will tilt also so plan on doing video shots with it sitting still or in the slow movement mode or just putting it in a video stabilization program later, but this is not a big fault for the price range and is common though. For someone wanting to just fly or doing inspection or just looking around etc this is a GREAT flying choice to get. It functioned and flew absolutely great once I ran the compass calibration and handled the slight wind like a champ, I could honestly find myself flying it more for quick land or damage inspection or just messing around, than my more expensive DJI drone due to how fast I got it in the air and how smoothly it flew for the price. As far as durability goes I accidently ran into my car and with it trying to do a close up shot and it ended up under it bouncing all over till i shut it down using the emergency stop and other than some scratches it took the beating then fired right up flew again perfectly after expecting it to break a blade etc there was nothing wrong. It hovers really stable which I didn't expect for the price and flew really good. You will not be disappointed for the price range with this one if you are just getting started or want a beater second drone just buy it. ... show more
