My husband thought I was nuts buying a wooden kitchen set over a plastic one but I'm really glad I didn't listen because this set is adorable and way nicer to look at than those bulky plastic ones. He did nicely put it together for me and said it took about a hour but had no issues (there are a lot of pieces). This was super easy, albeit time-consuming, to put together. I love all the storage compartments and the compact size. The colors are great and it’s super sturdy. The materials are high quality. I went back and forth between three and four stars for this kitchen. I love the simple, retro styling of it, and it's a great size for a smaller home. My almost-three year old has a lot of fun with it. But putting this thing together was rough. It comes in so many pieces. You even have to build the little boxes that go on the shelf. Took me about two and a half hours altogether. And one piece was missing a hole just a few pieces into the build. Thankfully it wasn't a structural thing, and I could work around it. After about two months of play the clips that hold up the oven door don't do their jobs well, and it falls open a lot. The plastic on the oven door broke easily, too, but it works fine without it. My main issue with that is that it caused little screws to pop out everywhere. Mostly happy with it, but it's kind of high maintenance. ... show more

This is a great product! First, let me say that everything was packaged just as well if not better than some of the adult furniture we have purchased. The assembly took several hours, but everything was well labeled and the instructions were very clear. Completed this kitchen is sturdy and looks sharp compared to the plastic kitchens that you can purchase at a similar price point. My kids love it (5 and 2). The oven, microwave, and cabinet provide excellent storage for play food when not in use. I recommend adding a shelf in the cabinet. Finally, several people have mentioned in other reviews that parts broke when the kitchen was moved. I can see how easily this can happen, but it can be easily resolved by removing the 4 screws that secure the top to the bottom, and moving the kitchen in two pieces. ... show more

Absolutely love this play kitchen!!! It is by far my favorite out of any play kitchen I've ever seen. My 2 kids (1 & 3) cannot stop playing with it!! There are so many places for the kids to put things with all the shelves, cupboards, appliances. And it doesn't take up a lot of space in our small house at all, I am amazed at how much they can fit into this compact kitchen. The look of this wooden kitchen is really nice over the plasticy alternatives that you see. The knobs for the stove click just like a gas stove. I was a little confused on exactly what accessories came with it, so here it is: 3 spice jars, a spatula, and a phone. So don't expect any food items or pans to come with it, you'll need to get those separate. My son wanted to hang his pans like his old kitchen so I just added some sticky hooks to the sides, and now they have more storage! A couple of things to consider: The cupboard door and microwave door hinges do not bend all the way back. I'm afraid they will break if my kids bend them back too far. The oven door hinge extends all the way to the ground, which is great. Also the assembly took forever. My husband spent probably 2 hours putting it together. Overall, I'm super satisfied with this product. Body is made of wood so very sturdy. The only thing that is actually pretty damn dangerous is the metal piece they give you to hook up the phone. This piece could EASILY injury a child and probably horrifically. I put it on than decided to take off. I'm a little disappointed that it came damaged but it wasn't enough for me to want to send back. I was still able to put together. Also, the description says it comes with a pot, a pan, and a spatula. Unfortunately we are missing the pot and the pan so my husband bought a "cookware" set. The pamphlet doesn't even show that it comes with a pot and pan so I'm confused. Doesn't come with food, which we knew and was fine with, so again, my husband bought stuff separately. It is very tedious to assemble with small hardware. I put it together myself while my toddler was taking a nap. Took about 2.5-3 hours total but I also took breaks because of my carpal tunnel. My son loves it. We got this for him for his 2nd birthday. I added a picture with him for size reference. He's a little on the shorter side, 33.3in tall. This kitchen is perfect for his size and will probably have for a few years. If my toddler were to rate it, he'd probably give 5 stars. ... show more

I bought this over a year ago for my twin toddlers, and it's still holding up perfectly! My kids break everything, so I'm really surprised this has lasted so long, especially being one of the more affordable play kitchens we looked at before buying. Great purchase.
