This tank is a bolt on for a Rebel 250. Ihad a custom mount fabricated and look at this. SWEET. Don’t normally leave reviews but this purchase was different. Overall the tank is in great shape, arrived packed well and no major dents or flaws. There were a couple small flaws getting into details with tiny paint runs or tiny paint chips around the bolt holes but good everywhere else otherwise, only downside is the clear coat was put on after the sticker was so when removing the sticker there is a rectangular shape right on the top part that’s very noticeable. I will just put a different sticker in its place so doesn’t matter too much to me. Seller responded very fast and was easy to work with. I ended up paying an extra $28 for expedited shipping and even tho it wasn’t delivered yet, the tank was delayed and it took a couple extra days to get dropped off and the seller still refunded the expedited shipping cost before delivery. Overall it was a good purchase and does get the job done and seller was quick and efficient! However it might not be worth it to pay for expedited shipping, it will get there when it gets there. ... show more

For starters, the whole tank sits about 1/2 inch off center of the frame to the left. The warning label had the clear coat sprayed over top of it and if you remove it it will destroy the paint on the most seen part of the tank. This thing is barely useable junk.

I picked up a Honda Rebel 250 that had been sitting outdoors for at least 2 years. The original tank was full of rust and sludge. After researching how to remeadiate the original tank, I decided that the cost + time wasn't worth the less than $100 bucks to buy the replacement. The new tank arrived timly and well packed. It fit just like the OEM tank and so far has performed as expected. Note though that the "Rebel" decal is not supplied with the tank so if this is important, you will need to source this item. The paint looks ok and since I keep the bike in a garage I do not expect any surprised. I however, have no idea how it will hold up for a bike stored outdoors. ... show more

First of all, it came four days early. I was half expecting a tank made of ABS plastic, but this is metal. Before I put it on, I'm going to give extra coating through the frame tunnel. And the blue accent for the fuel cap was not expected. Now, if I match the color and give the rest of the bike the same blue accents, it won't look like the same bike. And the wider tank will make the bike look like a bigger machine. Still a 250, but it won't look it. Others have said the tank leaked. Haven't checked that yet, but visual inspection looks like things should be sealed up pretty well. Will update if there are any problems. UPDATE Yes, I did find fuel leaking. With the old (smaller) tank, I got 128 miles between fill ups. With this one, I got 116. Then I noticed gas dripping from the vent line. I installed a check valve to only allow air to go into the tank, but nothing out. The trip meter now says I've gone 146 miles without a fill. I'm also going to check the length of the stand tube on the petcock and the fuel remaining when I switch to reserve to make sure it's .7 gallons. Adjust the height of the tube by cutting the upper end off. I should be able to get close to two hundred miles on a full tank. I will check that too after I've checked everything else. Is the tank worth it? Yeah, I think so. But be aware of what you're getting. ... show more

I love the tank.It looks good for a replacement tank for Intruder 1400.Works great with some modification to the mounts.Why in the hell did you put a warning sticker smack dab in the middle of the tank that couldn’t be easily peeled off.Even after removing with a sticker removing wheel that doesn’t damage paint you can still see where it was.The tank will have to be stripped and repainted😩I would have given 5 stars but this really pissed me off ... show more
