Installation was straight forward. I used it for temporary electrical connection on an outdoor shed and use an extension cord to bring power through the thin garden shed wall. It seemed appropriate to strengthen the wall of the shed with a piece of plywood to assure the wall was strong enough for the leverages possibly caused by extension cord and to be sure the mounting bolts would not pull through the shed wall. ... show more

I like doing things around the house. I'm not always good at it, but mostly. The directions were hard to decipher for a lay person. I re-read several times and still didn't understand. Finally I just dove it and did what made sense and that worked. It's a quality piece. I had no problem plugging my light in and everything fit in the box. It may fall apart, but for now it's super.
