First of all this is a great tool for cutting up cardboard to fit in the recycle bin. I like many Amazon customers have accumulated quite a stash of carboard boxes in my garage. I ordered one of these from another manufacture that did not work at all, so I was hesitant to get this one. After reading the reviews I decided to give it a try. Wow this thing works great. After charging it for a couple hours until the light turned green, I was able to get to work making square cardboard Frisbees out of all those boxes. The charge lasts for a long time, in fact I have only charged it once so far and it is still going strong cutting up cardboard. I was curious as to what else this will cut up, so I went on a cutting spree and tested it on all sorts of things from cereal boxes plastic blister packs (it worked so so on this) and some vinyl material I was using to cover a stool. I even tried it on carpet (low pile) which it did not like at all, even though it did eventually get through it. Which leads me to why I give it only 4 stars. Where is the extra blade? The instructions call for a 43mm blade, but yet they say in the ad that it is compatible with most other rotary cutters (which take a 45mm blade). So TaskStar please let me know where I can get blades for this tool, as I have done a pretty good job of dulling out this one. FYI I did go ahead and charge it again, even though it was still going.. ... show more

I didn’t know how much I needed this! I had a ton of boxes to break down that wouldn’t fit in the recycling bin. This bad boy reduced the pile exponentially! The charge lasts days and cuts through boxes like butter.

Okay I admit it, I get lot of Amazon packages. Even when I flatten them they quickly fill up my recycling container so I usually take a utility knife and cut them into smaller pieces. This electric scissor is a lot quicker than me using the knife, and way less dangerous. It's also handy for craft projects and even works on some fabric. It has a nice safety feature where you need to hold the top button initially to turn it on, then you can use the trigger. You don't need to keep holding the top button. It times out after some time if you stop using it where you're going to need to hit that top button again but it takes a while so making multiple cuts I usually don't need to touch that again. It came with a partial charge so I was able to use it right out of the box....to quickly cut up it's own box for recycling. It came with a draw string storage bag to keep it and it's charging cable together. The charging indicator is large and clear to see. ... show more

I'm not sure I'd use this as a box cutter, but as a scissors, it works pretty darn well. It cuts through a variety of materials, such as cardboard, paper, cloth, etc. This came really in handy for cutting wrapping paper nice and straight. The build on these is pretty hefty and durable feeling, which is nice for the price. I thought they would be awkward to hold or too heavy, but thankfully they aren't bad and I didn't find my hand or wrist hurting from using them a lot. The media could not be loaded. It takes some getting used to - but once you figure out how to hold it cutting become very easy. I was even able to cut curves into it. I like that it's usb rechargeable - but worry that the battery might go bad - then would have to toss it. So I have to make sure it remains charged monthly - so it's a chore to add to the list. I would only recommend if you plan you use and can charge it regularly. ... show more
