It saves so much time and saves your hands. If your cutting ribbed metal of any sort you will learn you have to kind of angle up and down for it to grab and keep cutting, I have used an expensive Milwaukee brand one and it required the same technique. So its a good price and a great tool.

Product worked great! I needed to cut a 20 gauge Zinc to fit and install on bathroom cabinet. Local workshop wanted to charge me $200 to make 2 cuts. Very easy to use, takes one person to help you hold down zinc / metal sheet and you need to focus to stay straight but it worked great!

I was working on a chicken coop, and using hardware cloth for all the walls, and after cutting through and completing on section with manual pliers and cutting my hands up and hurting my hand and knuckles from clipping every single wire in the 1/2in 4ft wide roll, I decided I needed a new tactic. I was making a new area over 5 times larger than the first section and I knew I wouldn't make it through the next section. I spent the money on this with the sole purpose of using it this one time, and it was well worth it. I will hang on to it in case I need it in the future but it cut down(pun intended) on my cut time by an extremely significant amount of time. Now if you expect to need heavy use from this, I can't say if it'll hold up, but for occasional use it should be just fine. It is a little tricky to get the positioning perfect especially if you are by yourself and holding the wire down to keep it from curling while you cut, but when you get the hang of it, it cuts straight through no problem, but when it gets off a little it will stick and seemingly won't cut but that's because it is essentially jammed. ... show more

Solid quality, Works great. Be aware this if for FLAT surfaces. It will not cut over ribs in post-frame sheet metal... You need a nibbler for that.

This hears works fine but very cumbersome and heavy to use. It cuts through the 18 gauge wire like butter. Use your protective goggles and gloves because metal pieces fly.
