This project started when I saw a 4 channel amp at a thrift store for cheap. However one of the channels did not work so in to the trash with that. I had already purchased 4 4” speakers so decided to look for a 3 channel amp. The sub channel runs 2 15” speakers I bought when I was kid 53 years ago. They still sound good. They are wired together at 4 ohms. The box is a bass reflex type with the speakers mounted at an angle. The 4” speakers are in a two chambered sealed box and wired to 2 ohms. This little amp is perfect for this set up. It has a bass boost that I don’t need to use. Plenty of bass. The terminals are small but you don’t need heavy gauge wire for this so it works. There is no level control so you will need a inline level control for your input. I’m running mine about half but it’s in a 2006 Ford Ranger so it doesn’t take a lot to fill it with sound. I have a slight ground hum that can only be heard when nothing is playing. I will add a filter. This amp was perfect for my budget set up! ... show more

I am running 4 jvc 6x9 with this tiny amp! I have to say i am surprized on the power and clear sound ! Very impressed . Dont let the size fool you! And i still have the sub part not being used. I recomend this amp for mids and highs . I replaced my 4 ch audiopipe 1400 watt amp and would have to say tara amps is my new amp brand ... show more

It's small But it's powerful. I have it pushing 2, Old School 8" Pioneer TS-TRX1000 truck boxes and 2, 10" 300 watt RMS MTX Audio FPR10-4 shallow subwoofers. And I drive 1000 miles a week making my commute. It's never given me any overheating problems. It's a good little amp. I bought a 2nd one for the setup in another one of my trucks ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This amp is perfect for what I needed. There aren’t very many 3 channel amps out there and compared to the price of those amps this was an easy choice and it’s definitely better then I expected. I made this player for some Amish friends of mine so they can play it in there buggy with a 12v battery that they already use in the buggy and they were amazed at how good it sounded compared to the ones they make. I’m in the process of making another one now but this time I’m going to use a 10 inch subwoofer instead of an 8 inch and I’m also going to get infinity 6.5 inch speakers cause they are 2.7 ohms instead of 4 ohms so it should be louder with those and should have more bass upgrading from an 8 to a 10 I’ll post another video of the new one when it’s done to compare them. Definitely recommend if your doing something like I did. Cause it’s so small I put it inside the box and there are no wires visible except the ones that come out the side that go to the battery ... show more
