Overall a great multicolor smart bulb. Nice vibrant colors, very bright at max brightness. Easy to install it and connect with the Tapo app. The one thing I'd dock half a star for is that it doesn't support Adaptive Lighting in Homekit like some other Homekit bulbs do. Apparently that's because adaptive lighting is a Homekit specific feature, and this only implements Matter (which is still 99% compatible with Homekit). Not a big deal and not technically Tapo's fault, but would be nice to have that. ... show more

I use Apple Home for automation and have a home hub. These Matter-certified bulbs work well with Apple Home and paired instantly in the Home app just by scanning the QR code. So far, on the first day of use, they appear to be totally reliable with Apple Home and work well. The setup was ultra smooth and easy, like all other Matter-certified devices I've added to Apple Home. There are a few cons, though: 1. The brightness of the bulbs is pretty weak for a 75W-equivalent bulb. At ~2700K, they are at their brightest and somewhere between 60W and 75W. However, when switching to a daylight temperature like 4000K-5000K they are a good bit dimmer… definitely not over 60W-equivalent, possibly less. And for raw colors, they are drastically dimmer, but colors are just a nighttime gimmick anyways and I don't care about that; I only want to adjust color temperature throughout the day. My big issue is that the daylight temperatures feel dim. 2. Some white-range colors are way off with the Apple Home app. Certain near-daylight colors are rendered by the bulb as bright orange, while other smart lights I have render them correctly. It's not a total dealbreaker as I just adjusted the color swatch to something the bulb can handle, but I was surprised by this. 3. For some reason, the Matter QR code is not printed directly on the bulb base, just the ID number. There are QR code stickers included in the box, but this really should have been printed on the bulb itself. I will probably lose track of these stickers in the future, and it will be more complicated trying to re-pair them then, since the Apple Home app wants to scan a QR code. Seems like a good budget bulb that's reliable, but I'm still on the fence about returning these and just paying up for the Hue bulbs. Overall, my main complaint is the brightness level at daylight temperatures. ... show more

I bought 16 light to replace my Feit bulbs. The Feit bulbs kept losing connection to my WiFi, but would hold their settings. If you plan on setting a schedule but not changing the color or dimming these you will be fine. But if you want to change the color and dim these, you will have to reset every night because they always revert back to full power white. This defeats the whole purpose of the automation I bought these bulbs for. They need a way to save your settings. After finding a way to save the settings I am revising my review to 5 stars. I wish there were better instructions about how to save the settings, but I was finally able to figure out how to save the settings. ... show more

This is an absolute piece of crap, the absolute WORST smart bulb I have ever tried! Colors are ghastly, flickers/annoyingly changes brightness and color all the time (so bad I removed the light). This hideously awful light requires you sign up for a TP (toilet paper?) account just to simply use the damned thing only to find all of my Internet bandwidth being used up to send MY PERSONAL, PRIVATE INFO TO SERVERS IN CHINA! Why is it all of the Chinese products require you download a poorly written piece of crap app and give them all of your personal info to sign up for an account while all the smart stuff made in countries other than China and Taiwan NEVER do this! I have a smart bulb made in Japan and I never had to sign up for any accounts or download an app just to use. I now see why these are being sold so darned cheap as part of Amazon bundles. Probably no one will touch them otherwise and it's the only way for them to get rid of stock. My God this is an awful light, I just mean really, really horrific. If you care about your privacy and protecting the info on your phone, DO NOT GET THIS PRODUCT OR DOWNLOAD THEIR CRASH-HAPPY JUNKY SPYWARE. I really, really hope I can return this. As it is, Amazon makes you pay about $9 UPS fee just to return something and this cost just a few bucks more than that so it isn't really worth it to return, but I swear to God, I will NEVER, EVER, EVER BUY ANOTHER TP-LINK PRODUCT AGAIN! I don't know what happened to this company, they used to be decent, but over the last few years, their products have fallen off a cliff in terms of design, quality, and now these privacy hijacking requirements. I HATE, HATE, HATE TP-LINK AND THIS PRODUCT!
