Took me a bit to assemble, received some lock washers not detailed in the instructions. The hooks didn’t go on until I unlocked them. The lock function is detailed on another page. Once assembled it’s very sturdy. After my bike was strapped in and tied down with the provided straps is very secure. The rack hitch pin screws in so that takes time without a ratchet. Removing the rack frequently would not be easy but it rolls up nicely. I pushed the tire attachments all the way in and with the hooks set near the top everything tuck’s away to reduce the overall size a bit. I will be adding some reflective tape or something reflective to it as there are none. ... show more

This seller came through big time to fix this issue. I will buy from them again and recommend them to everyone. The drill hole should be a different size. One picture shows the bolt flat and the other shows another bolt that doesn’t fit in the hole that was drilled incorrectly. It’s not as tight as it should be. So far, I am very happy with this rack. It is heavy duty. My only complaint is that it is very hard to assemble. The instructions are poor, at best. All pictures, no words, and the font is way too small. It is very hard to define the parts, especially small parts, like the washers.

This rack feels very solid and has good ajustability; the wheel landings can be moved in and out for different wheel bases. The upper frame supports can slide up or down while pressing in the ratchet release button. Those upper frame supports have buit-in locks to make your bike more secure. To lock the bike to the carrier, just slide the frame support firmly down to your frame, then lift out on the ratchet button and push in the self-locking pin (no key needed to lock). To unlock, insert the key, twist, and the locking pin pops out of the way again. The 2" hitch attachment uses a 24mm bolt to make it secure to the vehicle's 2" hitch receiver. There is an included hitch lock to prevent someone from removing that bolt and stealing the rack. A little note here; there are wrenches included in the kit for assembly (17mm and 24mm), but it will help if you have a ratchet and sockets to make this easier and quicker. I have good mechanical skills and knowlege and it still took me about 40 minutes to assemble this. The instructional diagrams are tiny, and it was unclear where some spacers were supposed to go, but when I had a couple of leftover parts at the end I was able to figure it out. The rack folds up closer to your vehicle when you are not carrying the bikes. This rack is capable of carrying a pair of ebikes, but of course it is a bit heaver than your normal rack made for pedal bikes.     • Nice and sturdy
I got this as a replacement for a similar bike rack that I had that just fell apart over time. It was highly rated on Amazon but just didn't hold up. This one was easy to assemble and is very well made. The lower guides that hold the tires are big and sturdy. When you adjust them, they stay in place. It also doesn't move around much. All of the adjustment points are solid. I use it to hold a gravel bike and a mountain bike and it does so very well without any problems. It does have a locking system, but honestly I don't trust it. I still route cables through the tires and hitch. Overall, it is a great rack and does exactly what it is supposed to and it does it well. ... show more

Not sure why it curves up from the hitch. Regardless of position, my tailgate hits the “hinge” part of the rack as shown in the photo. Hits the paint. If it didn’t curve up, but just went straight out from the hitch, it would be perfect. But it’s unusable with my vehicle (2024 Ford Maverick) unless I didn’t care about chipping the paint. ... show more
