5 feet 8 inches 140 lbs. I ordered the S/M size and washed them. They fit very well, in that they are loosely snug (??), to coin a phrase. If I gain 10 pounds, I believe they would still fit well. Great elastic band around the waist, and very stylish. If I lost 20 pounds, they would be too loose. They are over the knees, and very comfortable. The knee openings are small enough that my legs do not look like toothpicks. Thicker material than most. Stylish. The ONLY downside I found was that the metal tips for the waist ties came off in the washing machine. I retrieved them and found that they slid off because there were no knots tied into the ends of the ties. Easily rectified. I slipped the ends on, ties small knots, and slit the metal ends over the knots to hide them. Perfect. I ordered Black. It is VERY black. I might order a different color for my next pair. Very comfortable and stretchy. The length is a bit longer than what I wanted does pass my knee a few inches. Around the waist I'm a 32-34 i bought the large size shorts as recommended in the description and I'd say it's spot on. I love the little details like the shiny button has a rose gold look to it. These are definitely shorts you need to iron before wearing as you can see in the pictures I posted. I can't find anything negative to say besides i wish they weren't as long in length. To be fair if you folded the shorts there is a matching inlay design that matches the stripes on the pockets so i guess if you decide to wear them that way it won't be as long (included picture to explain what I mean). And if I'm being very picky i really wish the metal on the draw strings matched the color on the buttons on the pockets (picture shows what I mean dark grey metal on drawstrings vs rose gold button with black design). Just an FYI none of the bottoms actually do anything. The ones on the back or front don't button anything up they are there strictly for show and honestly I'm not even mad at it. Take away. Love the shorts they are comfortable, look amazing with a plain colored shirt or even beach relaxed look maybe with a button up and some low cut shoes. The waistband makes it I don't have to tighten the drawstrings but it's good to have if I have heavy things in my pockets. I could wear these with about anything I like the look and pretty unique. Year update: A year later shorts are still here and good condition. I've cut my lawn, done mechanic work, gone to the beach and everything else in these shorts. They dry up pretty quick so I tend to wear these over my swim shorts like if I go to a restaurant or something then after going to beach or pool. if I get them wet I'm not too worked up about it because I know the bottom doesn't stay wet for long (along the waistband it will because it's thicker) They got a few spots and stains but that's my fault. These are my go to shorts to hang out around the house or head to the beach. I'd recommend them. If you don't abuse them like I did, they are a good comfortable short to hang out with and go out with that look great. ... show more

Quite comfortable shorts. Similar feel to heavy drawstring cotton shorts. Good length past knee. More form-fitting look that I’m not a huge fan of, but I guess it’s the style today. No front opening, so you’ll need to “pull them down” to relieve yourself. Deep and wide side and back pockets. No other pockets one might expect on say cargo shorts. Cons: The drawstrings are both too short and the metal collar at the end is stylish, but can easily fall off if you don’t tie a bigger knot at the end. But again, the string is already too short. Also, I have a stockier frame, 5’10 and 220lbs - XL seems to be the right size, but the shorts tend to slide down in the back when I move. Perhaps once I lose a few more lbs I will be able to tighten the strings a bit more properly so this doesn’t happen. ... show more

If you get the right size which I experienced being one size smaller than I usually wear, then it will fit better. However, the right size is still short of fitting perfect since the upper part is not cut properly for the butt area. As a result, you will feel slippage which you periodically have to pull up. If you have a slight tummy sticking out, then you will be doing more pulling up since this material is slippery. If you have a perfect buddy, then it will work better. ... show more

I was hoping these Tansozer shorts would teleport me to summertime vibes... turns out, they land somewhere between beach bum and dad-on-errands fashion. Comforts of Home, Outside the House: Softness Supreme: The fabric is lightweight and so comfy, it almost feels like wearing pajamas in public. Pocket Party: Spacious enough for a phone, wallet, keys – all the essentials when venturing beyond the couch. Drawstring for Days: The elastic waist gets bonus points for accommodating mid-afternoon snack attacks. Fashion Missteps: Baggy, Not Breezy: The fit is looser than I'd like, giving off a "borrowed these from my brother" vibe. Wrinkle Wonderland: This fabric wrinkles if you look at it wrong. An iron helps, but who has time for that? Color Conundrum: The 'green' is more of a faded army green. Not awful, but not what I pictured. Overall: These shorts scream comfort, but style takes a backseat. Perfect for lazy days or walks on the beach, but I wouldn't wear them on a date (unless it's a beach date). ... show more
