Upon arrival, this coat was somewhat thinner than expected but no doubt will be warm through midwestern winter months. The biggest complaint is the sizing. I am very glad i ordered an XXL! (I normally wear between a L and XL t shirt depending on the cut) This coat fits PERFECTLY but more than likely wont allow too much layering. This is a nice coat that I bought for my teen but definitely not good for wet weather. It does mention this in the description but wanted to reiterate for clarity. It will keep you warm on those dry cold days and is super comfortable. It comes vacuum sealed and is very wrinkled when you take it out of the package. I had this coat a couple years ago in Michigan. Genuinely warmest and best looking coat I could get at the time and again now. My only issue is I bought the wrong size. Please keep in mind Chinese clothing sizes are not the same as normal American clothing sizes. Highly recommend if you do not handle the midwestern cold well. I just moved from the south to the cold midwest, and can't say I am used to winter coming around for than a few days or week. I had no warm jackets since I didn't need a windproof jacket etc. It is nice, feels soft, and if button it up or zip it, and it will actually keep you warm.

I was never really a fan of Parkas. The only time I'd seen them worn was mostly by middle-aged men in the winter. I was more a fan of tactical clothing that served a purpose. However, I mostly adopted a layering technique that became cumbersome in the long run. So I finally broke down and decided to replace my Peacoat for this. I timed it so that it arrived right at the doorstep of the Polar Vortex. The weather that day ranged from 57 degrees down to 11. I've got to say: I was rather impressed by the coat's ability to handle a range of climates from mildly warm (for fall/winter) to absolute frigid. At noon, the temperature was around 50 and the coat wasn't entirely too warm with a T-Shirt beneath. But as the day progressed, rain began to fall in the form of mild precipitation. With the hood up, the coat absorbed/deflected most of the moisture without much hesitation. As it began to transition to snow, the same level of resistance held up and the fur inside kept me warm without overheating, even as I layered an additional fleece zip-up to the outfitting. By the time the temperatures reached well below freezing, I flipped the hood up and the fur lining kept my head warm throughout like no one's business. It was perfect, functional, and utterly warm. So let's go over the Pros and Cons: Pros: *Insulation is effective under a range of temperatures - from 50 down to 10 degrees (thus far) *Fit is as-is-expected, with me wearing small shirts translating into a small-fit without much variance *The fur is VERY effective, both in the inner jacket and the hood *The sleeves accommodate gloves that wrap around the wrists without much trouble (so long as they're not entirely too thick - like OJ Simpson leather gloves that don't fit) *Plenty of pockets for storage and easy access *The button up collar, which renders the hood entirely more useful if you're walking INTO the wind - which would normally blow it over and expose your ears/head to the cold winds. It doesn't look stupid when other people are freezing cold and you're bundled up tight and laughing at them inside of your head. Cons: *The fur lining would have been spectacular in the regular pockets where your hands go. The lining is the same as the outside of the jacket, which is cold when you first reach into them, but are well-insulated thereafter. Still would have been a nice touch to have them fur-lined (at additional cost - no doubt) *There's a useless tie string for the hood that the button-up neck renders absolutely useless. Mine came loose and was rendered ineffective within a week. The button up collar makes that a production cost that was unnecessary and could have gone towards the fur-lined pockets that I'd have gotten more use out of (I know I'm being petty at this point). Overall Consensus: I love this coat. I regret nothing. The reason it's not five stars? Fur-lined pockets for your hands would have made all the difference. But again, I defer to the second sentence of my overall consensus. ... show more

The size that supposedly fits you has a very narrow collar that won’t close around your neck, even without wearing a scarf nor a turtleneck sweater. The pockets a tiny. Forget about keeping your hands warm in those pockets.
