    • Loud Sandwich heating
This tankless water heater is not continuous. It kicks in when the water is turned on, it's cold, then warms up to the temp. Once the temp is reached, the gas turns off and it cools back down before it kicks back on and the continual cycle of cold/hot continues. This really sucks in the shower and bath. The system is loud. Every time it goes to heat, you hear the swooshing noice of the gas kicking in and then the noise while heating. So imagine turning on the water in the bathroom and kitchen all through out the day, you get to hear it all the time. Like a boiler. This is not good for a person who appreciates quiet nor consistent water temperatures. ... show more

So far so good, but the real test is how long it lasts. Feels solid and well-designed, so it's odd that the instructions are so horrible. I'm talking literally word-salad at times, with many half-sentences that make no sense at all, as if they decided to just publish a mock-up of the booklet before finishing the writing. But it's not rocket science when the unit is working, so you can probably figure everything out, but you'll need extra luck (or help) if you have unusual questions or problems. The brass-colored metals at the bottom of the unit are actually kind of cheap, but mostly the unit feels sturdy. I have gotten no error codes yet after more than a week of use. For the price, it seems a good four-star purchase, assuming it lasts for some years. ... show more

Product was here the next day. The manual was through and very informative. Overall, it's working great. Hot water on demand, it does take a little longer for the hot water to get to you over a tank water heater. That is to be expected. Also a huge space saver over a tank water heater.

    • Buy from this company, I found out they do have customer support here in the USA.
I bought one unit from Fogatti and it broke down after 4 months and getting it fixed was terrible at first, very little customer support or response, The unit broke down Dec24 and I contacted them that day and I still dont have hot water. thats 14 days so far and its still boken. No error codes or buzzer going off, just no hot water and I checked everything, gas pressure, water pressure, not frozen. I diagnost it for them, here is what I wrote. "your manual states that when the water heater fails(which it did) the display shows the fault code (which it DOESNT) and the buzzer sounds (which is DOESNT) so YOUR self diagnostic doesnt WORK for this problem, so that doesnt help me with what the fault is. since the temperature is 15 c its not frozen. your shower signal doest come on, the blower motor light doesnt come on, and the water temperature flame doesnt come on , so there is something wrong with the shower signal, if that doesnt work then blower wont come on and the heater wont start up. So it could be the water proportional valve," they wrote me back" Our technical evaluation is the same as you guessed, ( I didnt guess I was a technical support engineer for 20 year in Silicon Valley) and it may be a problem caused by the water proportional valve. You can leave your name and address and mobile phone, and we can send you a new proportional valve; that was on Dec 30th, I wont get the part until Jan 10th. If you can live over 17 days without hot water then buy one, When I asked about a certified plumber installing the new part this was their response. "We are very sorry that we are unable to provide plumber service support at this time. What we can offer is parts replacement, or sending the machine to our designated warehouse for repair. Regards FOGATTI They should have told me that in the beginning so I could have packed it up and sent it out, back on Dec 24th. Sending me the part doesn't no good since I void the warranty if I work on their unit as stated in their manual. I am not a certified plumber. UPDATE: Adam from Fogatti Los Angeles contacted me and apologized for the mess up and sent me a new replacement . So it only took 4 days to replace the bad unit and I am a happy camper, they stood by their warranty and they also have places in Miami also with US customer support with a phone number, I went through Amazon, so the problem would be recorded, which might have been some of the problem. I'm not sure why people state there is no customer support, you can Google the company name and go to their website for phone numbers and customer support if you have a problem. ... show more

The only reason I gave this a one is because there are no 0. We bought this in May of 2022 and have nothing but constant problems. We are constantly having to reset it, which took forever to figure out because there are no instructions and first two calls no one really knew what to do. Finally got someone who knew what they were talking about on the 3rd or 4th call. It’s actually worked with no problems for the past 5 months and is right back to cold water all the time. Also, the screen on the tank is literally falling out. It’s not like it’s kept in a spot people are around, it’s pretty secluded where we have it hooked up. Because of what a piece of junk it is we are having to buy a new one with this one only being 2.5 yrs old. Definitely STAY AWAY from this product! ... show more
