  • Worked great for our outdoor shower for over a year
Color: Red
We live mostly off grid and have an outdoor shower. I bought this when I first built my shower and it lasted my 6 kids and I well over a year, being used multiple times daily. It was fully exposed to all weather, including a few hurricanes, and it worked amazing. The enclosed design is way better than the open top ones, as it doesn't struggle to ignite after rain or with the morning dew. It's a solid choice and worth every penny. Easy to set up and operate, fairly conservative with propane use. Even with my large family a standard propane tank lasted over two weeks. ... show more

  • Ready to go out of the box - Instant HOT water!
Color: Red
I absolutely think this is the bomb! I have it set up on a water hose and going to an outdoor bathtub. Super easy to set up and get going right out of the box. The included shower hose has an on/off button which controls when the heater ignites or shuts off, it’s automatic. The force of the water keeps the psi high enough that the heater stays on While button on hose is in on position, as there is a safety feature that will switch it off if psi is too low. I have yet to use it with a pump, only pressure from a hose. Surely there isn’t a difference. And just mere seconds and instant hot water. Depending on settings, it can get scolding hot. Not sure why all hot water heaters don’t work as proficiently as this one does. I give this heater 5 stars! It is easy to set up, does what it advertises, and the materials used on device are high quality. Feel confident in this product if deciding it maybe what you are looking for to fit your portable hot water needs. ... show more

  • Works great but you have to tune it for different flow rates.
Color: Red
I have been using tankless water heaters for some time and I really like this one because it has been very reliable, but it has some issues. Installation is a breeze, 1/2" braided hoses work great for install, there have been no leaks and the unit works reliably every time. Problem is flow rate. I tuned the temp of the unit to the shower and it works fine and delivers great temp, however my sink flows more hot water. When I turn my sink on a little the unit will not fire up and deliver cold water, turn it on full blast and the water is lukewarm. I have found that the heater will deliver various water temperatures based on flow rates of water fixtures. The only to fix this is make sure all your appliances have matching hot water flow rates which is not very practical. ... show more

  • You need 4 D Batteries! **2 year update**
Color: Silver
*****THIS IS A MUST FOR THOSE WHO LIVE IN HOMES THAT USE PROPANE FROM TANKS THAT NEED TO BE REFILLED. I can't tell you how many times I let reading the dusty, dirty guage slip and whoops we were without hot water for the weekend.****I didn’t read the instructions for this well enough to catch the fact that I needed to have 4 D Batteries on hand for it to operate, so in the middle of the night at 3:30 am when I was done with my remodeling project, covered in filth and desperate for a shower...I found myself driving to the gas station looking like a dirty, gross vibrator fiend to buy 4 D Batteries-- but….once I got them and installed them...perfect amazing hot water. You also need a cutoff switch for your hose (less than $2 at hardware store, literally just a knob that turns water on and off before the hose goes into this propane heater installed with a simple screwing in and some plumbers take...no tools necessary), a literal and a hook or two to hang it on. I Live in a 200 year old house with propane, on my 6th hot water heater in 8 years…so I’m used to cold showers. No more. This thing is BELOVED. **Update. I seriously don't know why these aren't more commonly used in all kinds of things. Mine has lasted and lasted. I know exactly how long the propane tanks last, I keep an extra stock on hand--so we are never without hot water, i screw one in and don't touch the thing for months. I even bought a spare one of these to have around just in case--haven't even opened it. In the beginning I did some temporary plumbing to get this into my bathroom but after a while I was like eff it and I just plumbed it in. And it works. Well. Screw the propane guy I have to beg to come fill up the huge tank or go without because he can't fit me into his schedule. Screw AO Smith and their propane water heater monopoly that would make anyone crazy. Screw plumbers that on purpose stick it to single moms needing help. Mostly screw the fear and shame that come along with depending on a ($1600 a pop)propane hot water heater that maybe last two years, propane guys, plumbers and letting your kids down because you can't even provide them with a hot shower. I don't need any of that anymore. ... show more
