Tankless Water Heater: $159.99 at the time of review My wife and I have learned a lot of valuable lessons in the 9 years we‘ve lived in our current house. But one of the most valuable is to be prepared for inevitable power outages. Our lines are all underground so they (power outages) don’t happen all that often. But all it takes is one super cold shower (our water heater is electric) to make you want to have a backup solution at hand. So this propane water heater from Gasland seemed like the perfect candidate to help us out. ***Before I go any further, I want to be clear that we are NOT using this indoors. Well, we kind of are. The heater is setup on our back deck with the shower wand passed into a 1st floor bathroom window. You should never use an outdoor gas appliance indoors. If you do you risk carbon monoxide poisoning.*** *What I liked*: This heater is really nice. It’s not some cheap overseas knock-off. The packaging is a full color full retail package with everything you need to start using this heater (minus the propane tank, of course). It’s super easy to use and super effective at heating the water. I can’t speak to the efficiency of the burners as we haven’t used a whole tank of propane yet. But I do like that it has a ‘summer’ setting where it uses less burners so you can go for better fuel economy. I’m also a big fan of the digital temperature display. It just makes it easier to get the water to a temp you like. The price is great. It’s not only competitive, but often cheaper than other units. *What I didn't like*: Not much. *The Bottom Line:* We are so glad to have a backup for our water heater in case of a power outage. It works well, looks good, and it doesn’t break the bank. This is as solid an example of five stars out of five as you’re gonna find. I’d definitely order this over again. ... show more

This propane hot water heater is very easy to connect to a water supply. It has adapters for garden hose threads and it does make the water hot. On one tank of propane I had this running hot water for a hot tub as a test mind you, for over 10hrs and this just kept on heating the water up. Really I just wanted to if this would last a while and it's operation before I start relying on it for bathing with hot water. I have an outdoor pool and I have a place to set aside to wash off the pool water or even just a quick rinse from working outside and wanted to have hot water and not just cold so this little guy came up in my searching and figured why not. I have connected it up to the outside shower area and this thing heats up the water really nicely and fast. It’s pretty much on demand and the best part is that I didn’t have to dig up the ground and drill a hole in my garage and figure out a way to run a hot water pipe from my main hot water heater. This really was the best solution for my needs. Me and my guests now have a way to quickly rinse off after all day swimming or myself after working in the yard full of dirt that I don’t have to track into the house just to wash off. The plumbing was an easy install with the cold water coming into the tankless water heater and then the shower head from that. You can adjust the temperature right from the hot water heater so you can make it really hot if you wanted to. It is much more enjoyable than just cold water for sure. I have even used it to wash my dog as he tends to shake all the water off of him when I give him a bath inside and now I can just do it outside and he can shake the water off of him anywhere on the patio. This tankless water heater comes with everything you need to to hook it up. You just need a propane tank and a water hose and it’s good to go. Really nice quality, and it can be hung by the handle which feels nice and sturdy, or it can be mounted using the mounting holes on the back. This is perfect for having hot water outside, and I can see it being useful at the campground. I love a good, luxurious bath, but like many houses my little bathroom has a small, shallow tub, so I purchased an inflatable tub which I set up in the basement. I use this water heater to fill the tub. Since this water heater is for outdoor use, I use a long hose instead of the shower head and run it through my window to fill the tub. I really love that I’m able to fill it up without worrying about running out of hot water. I’m really happy with this product. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We lost power some time back and had to take cold showers for six days in the middle of winter. My kids were all small at the time and we were all miserable. This thing has all the power and all the heat that you could imagine, and I love the shower head! With a maximum power output of 41,000 BTU's, it truly puts out hot water on demand. I had this tankless hot water heater up and running within five minutes of opening it. It's compact lightweight design allowed me to hang it on the side of my shed with just an S hook.
