    • love it. I had to turn temp down.
It was a pretty easy install. I used 1/2 inch copper pipe with foam insulation so it heats up the pipes fast and they stay hot for a while. I had to turn the temp down to shower without getting scalded. I started at 125deg. and knocked it down to 112. I thought there would be more heat loss from the basement. It also does good for a bath. The temperature swings high when you use full flow and shut the water off quickly, the heating elements are still hot so switching from tub to off to shower can produce a section of 139 deg water. I didn't have any problems with the threads leaking or not fitting, probably because I chose all my fittings carefully at the store. Inspected and tested several and took the best fittings. and used a good amount of Teflon tape and the rubber washers that came with the heater. Its been running great for over a month now with no problems. Happy customer. I will buy the same one again when we move. UPDATE: 3 Months and running great. ... show more

I purchase this water heater sometime ago but once I installed it work great for a while. Then somehow had some issues and it seems was a bad connection inside. I quite don't know what. I contact them by email and they answered back. . They were very helpful. We discussed ways to fix the problem or what could cause it. I tried several ways to figure out and at the end they just sent me a new one, which I installed and it works perfectly. I guess sometimes there is one bad apple. The new one works Great!!! The company did reach out to me and finally connect. It was stressful and was without hot water for about month while working it out. Got the replacement within two days of them sending it out. There was a computer glitch that caused some miss communication but it worked out in the end. The machine was replaced and is working fine now. I didn't do a 5 because of the stressful month without the tank but hey stuff happens and this product has good flow, keeps hot for a long time and is helping on the electric bill. ... show more

This type of heater saves on electricity because you are only heating the water being used at the moment. Saves on space also, no big tank. The display is a nice feature if it will be placed in a location where you can see it. Pay attention to where it is going to be installed as 240 V is required. This unit has a superier build quality to others that I have seen and takes advantage of superier Technology; a briliant design that should make it one of the lesser users of electricity, compaired to most others available! Very EASY installation!!! So far, no complaints with this water heater. I replaced a much more expensive unit with this one. The previous unit had the same voltage and breaker requirements, as well as similar water connections, so instillation for me was fairly simple. Performance wise, the Ecotouch heater does great, especially in my house where it typically only runs one fixture or appliance at a time. I have not experienced any cold shots of water while operating like my old water heater used to. Design wise, I like how this unit is set up, it uses a continuous metal water line with the heating element surrounding the water line. All previous on demand water heaters that I've used have had small reservoirs with the heating element submerged within the reservoirs. The Ecotouch design seem less likely to foul up with minerals in my opinion, but time will tell. Very pleased with this water heater so far, wish I'd tried this one first. ... show more

Ordered this product 9 months ago and had it professionally installed and after 6 months it no longer warms the water properly and get a luke warm shower. Have to replace the product cause there is no way of contacting the company that I can find to see if they will do anything about it.

This is next to impossible to wire up and I am a union electrician. The factory did not put a knock out in the back of the heater to run the power. You can only enter the side of the heater with power and it says you can’t take the screws out of the back cover or it will void the warranty. They give you a 3/4” straight strain relief connector (that is good for 8/3 SO cord ) this cord is the size of your thumb. If you’re lucky you can find a 3/4” 90 degree strain relief connector, so you can run down the side of the heater and into a junction box witch will look better than running out side ways. If it hadn’t been three or four days since I had a shower I would have sent it back! I was able to get into the only hole they provide with a chase nipple, into a 3/4” 90 pulling elbow with a 2” 3/4”nipple into a 2 gang metal wall plate (bell box type). Because they put the access plate on the side of the unit (and it’s the only way out of it) your limited to it looking decent on the wall. Other than that it’s a WONDERFUL heater! (I wouldn’t wrap my wife with a towel to do a glamour shot with this heater as good looking as she is!!) PS I will be painting the fittings and plate black to make it look more glamorous for my wife.
