    • Nice on demand hot water tank for a single room
I needed to replace the small hot water tank in my addition which mostly heats a small bath: shower + vanity sink. It was nice to get back almost a full third of my closet and the old tank unit was starting to rust so it was just a matter of time before we had a mess on or hands. I like that it has a digital display that lets you adjust and monitor the temperature in real time. Safety features include automatic shut-off for overheating and automatic restart after a power outage. It's more energy-efficient than the old tank unit and is easy to install with the included kit. That said, keep in mind it's designed for point-of-use applications, meaning it heats water for one fixture at a time and is not going to be the size unit you want supplying hot water to your entire house. Additionally, the required electrical circuit (8.5 kW, 240V) is more demanding than a standard household circuit so if you dont already have a 240v circuit and wiring capable of handling 40A you will have some electrical work to do in addition to the plumbing. Overall it's a great deal at a great price, is more energy efficient than a tank unit and takes up WAY less space. worth it. ... show more

    • I put a splitter on this for my RV shower and sink
It's not like I'll ever be taking a shower and washing dishes at the same time! The electric hot water tank in my older RV which was 6 gallons, I believe, had to be replaced. I didn't want to replace it with another one - preferred the on-demand type and this one was a good replacement. It was easy compared to the tank! And with the switch, all I have to do is flip it either to the shower or the sink. My RV bathroom is tiny - a shower stall and an Eco-John potty so my kitchen sink is for dishes as well as morning ablutions (teeth brushing and mouthwash). I have this attached to a 3000 watt pure sine wave inverter that is powered by two 200 watt/hr lithium batteries that are charged by 800 watts solar on the roof. I do have a smaller generator should I need it (and a 200 watt portable solar panel to charge it) AND I have the ability to plug into shore power if it is available. The thing is, I have this nice, smaller sized on-demand hot water heater that is working well in my older RV. Very happy with it! ... show more

    • Has a lot of nice features
This 8.5kw point of use hot water heater was really a pleasant surprise. I was really surprised by the features that were included with it. It has a really nice display that shows what the temperature is that is coming out, and what the temperature point is set at. It has 3 preset temperature settings for kids, adults, and the elderly and then it has one that you can set yourself. I think that is awesome. It is something that I haven’t seen yet in some of these hot water heaters until now. The draw back to something like that is that you either have to install it out in the open, which its not a bad looking device, or you hide it and have a hard time getting to it to change the temperature setting. A better solution would be to have a remote controller either wired or wireless to control the device. I think maybe something like a thermostat for an a/c that is wired and has a display would actually be a better choice here. It’s a 240v which is a bit more energy efficient which is good, although you have to have 240v wiring in place or have it run to the desired location. The only other issue that I see, is that it is not certified by any U.S. or North American independent safety institutions which in the case of a fire could cause you problems with your insurance company. If that is not a concern for your application, I think this is a great choice. ... show more

I got this tankless to go under my kitchen sink. My house is a long bungalow, and my regular tankless water heater is at the opposite end of the house. I wanted something instant, so I didn’t have to run cold water for long periods in order to get hot water. It works perfectly! I love the dial temperature setting, so you can easily adjust if you initially set it too high or too low. Absolutely silent.100% recommended. ... show more

This is easy to install. Good for a tiny house, trailer or really anywhere you can run the electric and want hot water, like a cabin or a camper. Excellent price/performance. Was not any harder than any other unit to use and at the price, beats out the smaller, less powerful, all in one units.

This instant hot water heater did give me hot water, but it didn’t run for long. Nowhere in the ad did it state anything about the type of water going through it. I think it quit because my hard water probably had some buildup in it and it stopped working. I was really hoping to have an instant hot water heater in my home to be more efficient. It was running for about a week before it quit and I can only believe that rust might’ve built up or lime might’ve built up and that’s what stopped it from working. Once I was able to get someone to help me install it, it was pretty easy to install. I’m just pretty disappointed that it quits so soon, maybe because my water is so hard. I probably would recommend this if you have good city water but if you have well water, that’s very hard. It probably won’t work for you. ... show more

I got this electric, tankless water heater for my guest house. It works great, saves me space and a lot of money! These are much more efficient than regular hot water heaters. I love that the water is hot on demand, so there's no waiting for it to heat up. It works perfectly for the space I have it in to use for the kitchen and bathroom.
