I love this. There are no instructions and it only came in a clear plastic bag, though, so if you don’t know what it’s supposed to do, you might be confused. However it works well, and the voice along with the wing flapping movements are very amusing. Super cute.

We love this toy that we got for our parrot. She loves it and will ask it if it wants some when she’s eating. It’s amazing how it records what you say or sing as well as loud background noise. It does go through a lot of AAA batteries if you leave it on. There’s no volume control but it really doesn’t need it. The parrot flaps it’s wings and bobs it’s head when it repeats what it recorded. It’s not a snuggly kind of stuffed animal but it’s entertaining! I think you could donate a bunch to nursing home residents and they’d have a blast with them. We haven’t had a problem with ours. I’ll update if anything changes. I’m going to order a spare to have on hand because both the parrot and my husband love singing and talking to it. ... show more

I bought this for my nephew and tried it out before I give it to him. It's really cute and the repeated voice is cute. I also like the wing flapping. I discovered that my cats like it as well! However, I don't know what you mean about volume control. I couldn't find anything on the bottom except an on/off switch. If you get closer, the voice is louder and further away, it's quieter. Maybe that's what they mean. But no volume switch. ... show more

I received this cute little parrot rather quickly. It seems well made for the money spent. I purchased this as an entertainment addition to a luau my husband and I will be attending. I plan to sew a piece of Velcro so that the parrot can sit on his shoulder. The only issue is that it is so sound sensitive that it picks up every noise in the room not just conversation. I am not sure how this is going to work out since the luau will be a noisy environment. It should respond only if one is directly in front of it and speak directly at it.
