It took me 3 days to put this together. Granted, the power went out during a storm on the first night I started on it so I had to stop… and then I only worked on it for a couple hours the second day before I had to stop because my daughter was having friends over for her birthday… but, if I was to add up the hours… I’d say it took me maybe 5-6 hours all together doing it by myself, but with the help of a couple beers too of course. Putting the frame together was pure torture. I say this as a human being who isn’t in the greatest of shape and has rarely ever had to put furniture together before. Even though I wanted to die as I put all the support pieces together, I have to admit it really is a simple process. Insert screw with washer, tighten with allen wrench. Simple. Awful. But straightforward. I was one screw short for the back panel, but I could have very possibly just dropped it and was unable to locate it. I needed a hammer for the push pins. The bottom board for the drawers were numbered 14 instead of 15, as the instructions said. There was another part also numbered 14 so I had two different parts numbered as 14. The instructions showed the assembly of the frame backwards/inverted so it took me a while to get started until I figured that out. None of those things were necessarily an issue. Just wanted to point it out. As you can see, I purchased different drawer knobs… they did not come with the chest of drawers. The black wooden ones pictured in the stock photo are the ones that came with it. Overall, I love it. There were soooooo many screws and additional brackets. This thing may be made out of soft, cheap wood but it’s built pretty solid. It’s going to last for many, many years. With that said though, it does dent, knick, and scratch pretty easily. Regular use shouldn’t cause very noticeable cosmetic issues however. You just can’t be rough around it. It came packaged very well. It was packaged with lots of styrofoam and wrapped in protective film, packaged tightly inside of a box, then placed in another box for extra protection through shipping. It was VERY VERY heavy though. My 14 year old and I couldn’t even get it inside the house after it was delivered. I had to call in some muscles to get it inside and take it upstairs where I assembled it. The actual chest of drawers itself is quite heavy, but much more manageable for moving than it was when it was in the box. I’m very pleased with this purchase. I’m glad I chose this one, even though it’s a baby brand… this was for my 14 year old daughter. And she’s very happy with it too. In fact, she picked this one out of 5 I had shown her. ... show more

Assembly took a while with two of us. Do note that this is NOT all solid wood, but does have some particle board. Regardless of that, it went together well and seems fairly sturdy. The pieces that really matter are solid wood. The drawers are good size for a kids room or nursery. Would buy again.

Usually I would have my husband put this together, but he wasn’t available and I was too excited to wait so I did it myself. The instructions were crystal clear and all parts were labeled perfectly. It took a couple hours but the only tools I used were the Alan wrench provided and a Philips head screwdriver. Easy Peasy! It’s pretty good quality for the price and I’d expect it to hold up for awhile. It looks perfect in my daughter’s room. I love the light gray color. I did switch the knobs out for some that I used on the nightstands already in the room and they look perfect. Overall, I’m ver happy with this purchase. This dresser is not just for kids. It will look great in any room. I did replace the knobs with brushed nickel to give it a modern look in our master bedroom. If you want to replace the knobs, you will likely need washers for the screws so that they are not too long. The design and construction are excellent. The drawers have a reinforced bottom so they can handle more weight. The back panel is screwed on rather than using cheap nails. Everything feels strong and sturdy. The packaging was excellent to minimize the chance of damage. The rails were already attached, which saved a lot of work. I have put together a lot of assemble-it-yourself furniture, and this is one of the best designs I have seen. ... show more
