I love the idea of an all-in-one tool for ginger, and the design is clever. However, the grating plane is very small. Too small. If I use too little or too much pressure, my finger ends up on the grating plate or the cutting edge. It didn't draw blood, but I ended up with a couple of sore fingers.

    • Not perfect but I give it 4...it does work and is truly comfortable in my hand.
It’s not perfect but I do like it. It feels good in my hand (ergonomic handle). It peels ginger beautifully and is much easier to hold than a spoon. I do wish the grater/slicer had a wider surface area/blade but it works. I sliced consistent pieces and them diced them up for cookies, I also got a decent amount of grated ginger...not flakey gratings but it worked as well as mi ceramic grater or the micro plane when it comes to actual grating. The truth is, I have tried MANY ginger graters (materials and types) and none are perfect. It’s a hard little root to work with. So, this might not be a home run tool, but it’s not a dud either...it’s small so fits in the tool drawer no prob without taking up valuable space. ... show more

I got this at the end of March 2020. It’s easy to use and I like how the shape fits in my hand. I’ve used it on and off to make ginger root tea, mostly using the peel feature. The cutter & grater features are fine, but I prefer using a knife to cut. It’s been almost 11 months of owning it and it just broke on me while peeling :( I’d expect it to last longer! ... show more

I use ginger all the time now. I hate using my box grater with small roots like ginger. This is a great size for dealing with small pieces. I sliced off a piece of ginger, then i used the edge to get the skin off and then i grated the small piece! I grated using the wrong side and thought it didn't work but then i turned it over and it worked really well. I like that I only had to use one device vs a knife, spoon and box grater.
