  • It's just like I remembered from gamecube days

I loved this game as a teen and now I have it again, fighting is smoother but the storyline is just as it was.

I do not play these games, my son sends me the link, I click on it, and buy the game. Obviously he loves it! Packaging all in tact, works fine, and was delivered when promised. My son is happy, all is good. 👍🏼

  • A fun nostalgia filled game though a dated experience
Platform For Display: PlayStation 4
Tales of Symphonia is still the fun action rpg experience I remember playing by yourself or with friends/family. This review is for the PS4 Remaster, the Switch release is terrible with bugs/glitches all its own avoid. The game is largely unchanged for better and worse so all items, enemies, character titles, and secrets are as you remember. Graphically little was cleaned up/improved, same bugs are still present, and there is still a lack of audio for some non-cinematic cut scenes. The in game optional conversations between characters still don’t all have audio if you select English. The game has good length and an easy to follow along with story. I will say it doesn’t really tell you how to get to a location instead telling you the general compass direction you should head. You can complete missions and some storyline events out of order without it changing the game significantly. Though you can make it harder for yourself due to enemy levels being far outside your own. Overall I recommend the game at a price of 20-24$ or less it’s a steal at that price. A genuinely fun experience and can be played with up to 4 friends/players total. There are storyline segments where only 1-3 playable characters are available, they are short moments so everyone else can just watch or wait around. For newcomers to the Tales series just pick up Arise if on sale it’s a better game but this one has its own charm. ... show more

  • Not a real remastered game
Platform For Display: PlayStation 4
Game is supposed to be a remastered version, but it is the same exact version that was released back on steam and ps3 many years ago. This is shameful of the game company to put "remastered" without actually doing anything. I was expecting an updated game with new graphics not the same exact game.

  • Horrible "remaster", zero improvement.
Platform For Display: PlayStation 4
Many people in the comments don't understand what they are reviewing. We are not reviewing Tales of SYmphonia as it was when it came out on GameCube or PS3, which is a great game. We are reviewing THIS "remaster" released in 2022/2023 that is a shame because nothing has been remastered since the PS3 version. You are basically paying a high price for a ps4 version of a ps3 game, with 0 improvment. Worse : the PS3 version actualy included Tales of a New Dawn with it, here you only get TOS. Really a scam from Bandai but we are used to it now. ... show more

  • A genius game
Platform For Display: PlayStation 4
This was a great game for a remaster. The way it was done kept the essence of the game while gifting it to a new generation and new generation of system. Now all they need to do is bring back more classics like xenogears. Then the video gaming world will be complete. Also the Japanese dub is great. I played both versions of the game in English and full Japanese a long time ago before the remaster. It was well done. ... show more
