  • Subframe Drop Required 3.0f/3.0r kit
Size: Front 3.0" Lift / Rear 3.0" Lift
So what I didn't see in any of the information on this kit was the need for a 1inch subframe drop. The instructions that were photo copied in the box do mention a 1inch subframe drop is required. I saw other people talking about installing this kit, so I figured I would try it anyway. I was able to get the rear kit to fit so far without issue (only drove it down the block before attempting the front). While trying to install the front kit, I tried multiple ways to install it, I removed the upper control arms, tried attaching the strut loosely at the top and and couldn't line up the bottom, tried installing the bottom bolt through the control arm and then installing the top no dice, the strut was hitting the body, I even tried using a spring compressor, that didn't help. NOW maybe if you loosened the subframe and dropped it down while installing it maybe, maybe you would get it to fit. I didn't try it. So my plan B is, ordering some spring spacers to try, so that the front comes up a little bit to help match the rear, I don't mind a bit of a raked look as long as it's not too extreme, and honestly it didn't look terrible with just the rear. Plus I do tow with it, and the back end squats down a bit anyway. So I'm not a fan of this kit, the price is good, but they should be upfront about the subframe drop and also make it something available on Amazon. I couldn't find one on Amazon at the time of this review. Anyway hope this helps someone. Side note the CRV isn't the best option for lifting and off road use. But I have one, and for my uses it works. ... show more

  • Needs more parts for 3 inch lift. Do research!!!
Size: Front 2.5" Lift / Rear 2.5" Lift
Needs a engine/subframe drop to prevent axles from wearing out. Also needs a camber kit. You might be able to get away with a camber kit for front and rear then a rear trailing arm spacer to help the back CV axles. But the front CV axles would be maxed out all the way. Anytime you lift or lower more than 2 inches total you need extra parts to do it right. you might be able to get away with a 2.5inch lift without dropping the sub frame and engine? but I'm referring to the 3 inch lift kit i bought. not the 2.5. ... show more

  • Too difficult for my mechanic to install.
Size: Front 2.5" Lift / Rear 2.5" Lift
Bought but mechanic but they couldn't install with new struts. Too much strain on the suspension.
