Its a very nice kit, has everything you need to do the job. Took me a while as it was just myself installing and it was HOT out so I took a lot of water breaks. But got it done in about 4 hours total working time. Another set of hands would have helped but everyone was "busy" that day.

I'm absolutely in love with the stance now. My Jeep doesn't look squished anymore! It was pretty straightforward to install. For some reason the instructions don't mention unbolting the top of the shock, but that's pretty self explanatory. I would definitely suggest having a friend help you because there are times when an extra set of hands really helps. Also, if your Jeep is older like mine (2010) I would suggest having some replacement bolts on hand in case any of your old ones break. I wish I had ordered shock boots in advance because now I will have to take it back apart to put them on. Definitely worth the money. Just enough lift to look cool, but not so much that it's a pain to get in and out. ... show more

    • This is a great budget build kit.
I have an 09 jeep Rubicon wrangler unlimited and this wasn't terrible to put together, I installed this in my garage with jack stands and my buddies on a Saturday night and was driving it that night. This is my wife's daily driver back forth to work. The only hick up is trying to get the front springs in with out a lift is a bit tough make sure you have a friend to help. however I did order the rear sway bar links which are not included in the kit. You will need to order the 2.5" rear sway bar links to give the rear sway bar proper ride height and move the rears to the front. I don't know what all the other guf is about but my wife is pleased with the ride and comfort on the highway . And it has a nice stance with her 33x12.50x 17"s . So definitely if your are up grading from stock and not looking for a crazy lift and trying to budget it this is highly recommended. I have used RC products in the past and they are high quality , never let me down before. ... show more

We found that the brake line extenders brackets weren’t included in the kit. The company apologized, and claimed they would ship asap. Thankfully my son had ordered others through Amazon because Rough Country’s didn’t arrive for two weeks. This kit also needs front stabilizer bar extenders. Amazon to the rescue again! The rear appears to be OK but we couldn’t stear the vehicle w stock stabilizer bar links. So we completed the kit install which works but the adjustments on our part made this successful in a lot more timely fashion. Amazon…thanks! Rough Country…hmmm. ... show more

True 2.5 lift. Easy to install if you have side wrenching experience. Did in the driveway with a buddy in 4 hours. Rides as expected. Obviously it’s not a $1500 kit so being a little stiff is to be expected. But for me it did what I wanted it to.

I spent about 4 solid hours installing this lift. Wouldn't have taken so long, but my jack was too short and I had to jack in different lifts. I put this lift on a 2 door JK. Wanted the extra spring rate for a hitch basket and small trailer. All in all it went smooth. I'm glad I have a 1/2" impact. If you're going to do this with jacks and jack stands, I'd recommend 2 jacks and some tall jack stands. I used some anti-seize when I put the bolts back in. I used a torque wrench and tightened to spec. A large pry bar or a coil spring compressor will help. You can usually rent a spring compressor for the day. By the bumpers, I gained exactly 2.5 inches. It looks better and rides a little rougher, but I'm okay with that. Will be adding a new steering stabilizer soon. ... show more
