The slim mahogany neck and 12"-radius bound rosewood fingerboard provide great feel and playability, while the onboard Taka mine TK-40D preamp system gives you a built-in tuner, three-band EQ and gain controls, mid contour switch, notch filter and EQ bypass switch for the ultimate in versatility and sound quality. Other premium features include maple body, neck and headstock binding; dark wood rosette and body purfling; synthetic bone nut and split bridge saddle; rosewood head cap; abalone dot inlays; gold die-cast tuners with black buttons; and a beautiful gloss finish. I really love this guitar. I bought it mainly for playing in backup music for a small church choir. For the price it has great sound and craftsmanship. Also the tuner built into the pickup is a nice touch and very convenient.

This is a gorgeous guitar, unfortunately it is not playable. I am a professional musician, and I know what I'm talking about. This guitar does NOT stay in tune on the upper frets! That can be expected to some degree when using a capo, but I'm talking open fret. I had a Takamine years ago and had no problems with it. It was a fine instrument. I don't know if this particular guitar was a lemon, or what. Something wrong with the fretting it seems. I was very disappointed. I STRONGLY encourage you not to buy this guitar. ... show more
