I ordered the Taifa 2 PCS 13" Pneumatic 5.00-6 Rubber Tires as replacement rims and tires for an old duel tire wheelbarrow that I purchased from Costco thirty years ago. That old wheelbarrow has a ten cubic foot rubber tub that is still durable and tough with no damage, and the handles are zinc coated metal and not wood so likewise are in very good condition. The only part that rusted was the front tray brace (both sides) but I repaired that by finding the correct diameter PVC pipe that would fit inside the braces, then used a heat gun to shape the PVC as I pushed it inside the brace. The old rims are still in working condition, light surface rust in some spots but not cancerous rust, do wash down the wheelbarrow after use, dry then spray with WD40 then wipe of excess, have replaced the tire and tubes a number of times. Problem being the replacement tire and tube is becoming harder to find and when I do find it, is very expensive. This wheelbarrow has been well used and loaned out to family and friends for their projects. Friends initially teased me when I purchased a dual tire wheelbarrow, they called it the Apprentice’s wheelbarrow and Training wheelbarrow, but the teasing quickly stopped after a number of tipped over and dumped loads of concrete by them, with smaller 6 cubic feet wheelbarrows not even full. But I kept trucking on, full load after full load after full load. They asked how a 65 year old with health issues could push a 10 cubic foot wheelbarrow full of cement, my response was that simple, I don’t have to exert all my energy trying to balance the wheelbarrow, it can’t tip over. Enough with my rambling. The Taifa 2 PCS 13" Pneumatic 5.00-6 Rubber Tires arrived yesterday afternoon, as expected the cardboard box it came in had taken a beating during transit, tape was barely holding the box closed, had some punctures and damage to the box, but upon inspection the tires and rims arrived intact and undamaged. These tires and rims ARE HEAVY, VERY HEAVY! The diameter is slightly smaller then the tires and rims (also ballbearing type) that I removed from my wheelbarrow and I discovered that the new tires and rims are a couple pounds heavier (each) then the old tires and rims. So it does add additional weight to the load I will be pushing. The width of the new rim is slightly smaller then the old rim so I needed to add flat washers to take up the space. The paint on the old rim is flat black and has held up well, just a little surface rust. The new rim is painted gloss white, does not look like powered coating so do expect the paint to chip off during use. The old tires are rubber, the new tires are a rubber compound, so the new tires are not as durable as 100% rubber. I do not anticipate punctures since I’m no longer using my wheelbarrow for construction projects, is now 100% gardening, moving mostly organic compost which I bulk purchase by the cubic yard (usually eight yards per delivery). These tires will get a work out and I’ll quickly discover how durable they are because the compost deliveries are in our driveway, which is rough slip resistant texture. The ballbearings can’t be removed and there are no grease fittings so best I can do is shoot lubrication when/if I detect grinding. The ballbearings on the old rim are sealed so have never had a problem. The suggested MSRP for a set of Taifa 2 PCS 13" Pneumatic 5.00-6 Rubber Tires is not cheap, so I’m hoping I experience good use out of them. I have reduced air pressure a little bit on the old tires, have cleaned the rims and tires and stored in my garden shed, will be kept as spares. ... show more

These tires worked great on our wheel barrow that had 2 flat tires that we couldn't seem to keep aired up. They were easy to install and are holding up great for daily use on our farm.

Pop those bearings out and replace them with decent ones and you have yourself a decent set of tires/wheels. Well, depending on how you are going to use these, the bearings that come with them might be fine. If it's just going to roll around on something that you are going to push without really taking much abuse, then those bearings will work. If you are going to put these on something like a scooter or minibike, then put good ball bearings in there. The tire is pretty hard, but you don't really want a super soft tire for most any of those applications that are listed in the description, especially if you are going to be anywhere near the load capacity. I broke a wheel on my dolly and decided to replace both with bigger wheels. They are solid and the rim is sturdy. Replacement was easy and quick and the bigger wheels allow me to roll into more rough areas and higher stair steps. ALready comes assembled and inflated, ready to use.
