I bought this to attach an air tag to my dog's collar so that I could try and track him if he ever wandered into the 60 acre, 7-foot high cornfield being our house. Yes, I realize that Airtags are bluetooth devices and cannot "track" moving things long-range like dogs wandering off. But I figured that he'd he'd come Ito someone's iPhone bluetooth range and stand still long enough that i'd get a fix on his location. I've tested this in our yard and it kinda works. Now, onto the tag holder. It's great. Everything is included to insert the Airtag and secure it to a collar. Note: The parts are tiny. Work where you'll find them when they're dropped. The unit is robust and is unlikely to be inadvertently torn off. A spare screw and installation tools are included. Save them. Here's why: After my little experiment, I decided I'd just keep a close eye on my furry friend and find another use for this holder. And that use was attaching it to the straps of my backpack-style gym bag. I play racquetball and that pack is out of sight when on the court. And the TagVault is not easily removable and disposable by a would-be thief as are those quick on-off silicone tag holders. ... show more

    • Very unobtrusive and protected way to secure AirTag to dog collar

I have been using this for about 2 weeks so I can’t speak to how long it lasts, but it feels very sturdy. All the parts screw together - no little plastic clips to snap off. There are small screws and you need to read the directions. I recommend you assemble it on a white paper or cloth, so you can keep track of the tiny screws. The design is well thought out. It is important to know that you will screw the AirTag case INTO your dog’s collar; I have a heavy webbing type collar, and it took a little work getting the screws through, but it’s not coming off. You won’t want this if your dog wears a leather or metal chain collar. I highly recommend this product. ... show more

    • Great item, but beware of cross-threading

As my dog has scratched two AirTags out of their silicone casings, I tried this case. Really rugged and well made. The person installing the case to the collar HAS TO be hyper aware of cross threading the screws which bind the collar to the case. The threads are super fine and the backing which the screws go through (the collar is sandwiched b/w the two) has a slight radius to it to conform to the curve of your dogs’ neck. It is really easy for the screws to go in just slightly off true vertical and that causes them to cross thread inside the body of the case. Screw through the collar with about 4-5 threads exposed (1 screw at a time). Then flip the collar on its side and place the thread insert onto the screw. Screw in while maintaining true vertical. Then move on to the 2nd screw. Not a design flaw, it just is what it is. Very solid case. 👍🏾 ... show more

The product was exactly as advertised. High quality construction and design. I hope in the future they produce a metal version. The only improvement I would like to see to the current design is for the fasteners to use a specialty driver to make them more secure and tamper resistant.

My pup had an AirTag holder hanging from her collar with her tag and she somehow figured out how to destroy both of them including the AirTag itself. This is such a better solution. Wish I saw this first!

So I bought a lower priced version of this and it broke soon after getting it. Not the cheapest product but I think this is by far the best made. It looks good and is easy to install on my dogs collar. Definitely a good product to have if you love and worry about your dogs safety and location.

I’ve had this air tag collar holder for 6-7 months and my dogs swim in lakes, run through streams, and go crazy in the outdoors. I’ve changed collars and had to remove/redo the screw-on pieces a few times and it’s always been 100% secure even with my bad hands and the tiny screws! I’ve been able to securely attach the holder to thick heavy duty tactical collars, thick outdoor Arcadia trail collars, and even a super dense wool-like material collar. The easiest way to get the holder on the collar is to place the backing band first, use your fingers on the opposite side of where you’re screwing from to create enough pressure for the screw to Pierce through the collar, and keep screwing until the head of screw is flush against that flat backing. Do same w the other side so you have the backing secure w 2 screws fully poking out the front of the collar. Line up the air tag compartment on those screw points and gently twist screws, while alternating both sides, and the tag compartment lowers perfectly and evenly. It’s totally secure. I’m beyond happy. I also love how discreet they are- if someone tried to steal my dog (good LUCK) they wouldn’t realize I can track him perfectly, at least for a long time. I also feel like this could be great to secure an AirTag into the coat or belt of someone with Alzheimer’s because I know the panic family’s can go through when a loved one is lost. With iOS17, you can now share airtags. My wife and I finally got one of these holders for the dog, so we can put one on the dog collar. It mounts strong, no issue with the pouring rain this past weekend due to being waterproof, and it'll just be a few screws to undo when we need to change the battery.
